Bluster is a large and intimidating NightWing with the skills to back it up. Though an old dragon and heavy scarred, Bluster is quick and physically powerful, he was a foe to fear even before he recieved a prosthetic eye. However, Bluster has no interest in picking fights, and is only interested in fulfilling his duties as a guard of the Rainforest Kingdom. Many know that he could easily become commander if he wishes to, but it never seemed like he was interested. Some call him "unambitous", but he is simply content with the current life he has. After all, he had a taste of being commander before the NightWing Exodus, it wasn't all too great in his opinion.

And though Bluster seems like the type to hate everyone and tell them to go away, Softroar, his long-term mate, is clear evidence that it is all but an image his resting face and scarred body built. Contrary to his appearance, Bluster cannot help but smile and help any young dragons in need of help. He takes his aid incredibly seriously, to the point that he would be upset at himself if he sees that his aid had not been as helpful as he or the young dragon had hoped. But in the end, Bluster has done all he could.

Backstory

Bluster was born and raised on the NightWing Island, most of his life was spent on that island before the NightWing Exodus. As a hatchling, he was quite large for a freshly hatched NightWing due to his MudWing ancestry, earning him his name. As a dragonet Bluster was clumsy, and his parents often joked that he would get into trouble with the lava with how clumsy he is. Yet as Bluster grew up, he proved himself to be a talented fighter, often beating his peers in physical combat and learning new techniques with his spear faster than everyone else, even with his clumsiness that he eventually grew out of. With his dedication and diligence, he was appointed as commander of the NightWing army not too long into his adulthood.

Bluster however, never approved of the NightWings' plan to take over to rainforest, finding their practice cruel and unnecessary, and believing that a more peaceful solution could be found than attacking the RainWings outright. But after witnessing what fate would be put upon the dragons if they disagreed with Queen Battlewinner, he stayed quiet. Instead, when witnessing the RainWing torture became too much, he would leave to take another post and get a breath of air. It was during one of these breaks did he meet his future mate, Softroar, an animus with future sight who would also leave the fortress to ease her mind.

When the main volcano of the NightWing Island erupted, Bluster didn't hesistate to swear his loyalty to Queen Glory.

Relationships

Softroar

Softroar is Bluster's wife. He thinks highly of her, and thinks that she is incredibly wise. Despite her future sight and animus powers, Bluster doesn't fear her, and trusts that she would never willingly use her powers on him. He always tries to be there for her when she's experiencing a vision, knowing that it often gives her a headache afterwards. He also thinks her to be very kind, for she gave him a prosthetic eye after he lost one to a lava accident. Going home to her is the highlight of his day.

Python

Python is Bluster's adopted son, Bluster had adopted the RainWing after his wife had a vision of Python hatching in his hands. Bluster took this as a sign that he should raised Python, and loves him and his own.

Damascus

Damascus is a weaponsmith in the NightWing Village. Bluster occassionally goes to him for him to repair his spear if it broke from combat, or it was thinning from sharpening and polishing. He appreciates Damascus' dedication to his craft, and admires his works. When Damascus pointed out that they both have lots of stripes, Bluster laughed and agreed.

Bluster is often mistaken to be part MudWing due to his colouring. But in truth, he only has MudWing ancestry.
