A fearless protector of life and death, Odelle is a cleric of Selûne who takes her devotion to her Goddess very seriously. Her entire life is centered around helping those who cannot help themselves, as she believes this is what Selûne desires from her. She has no idea where she came from or who her birth parents were, only knowing that she was found outside of a Moon Elf community who took her in as one of their own.
Odelle spends her days in service to her Goddess and to the people of Avscon, travelling around the country and striking down the undead population while healing the injured she comes across on her journey.

Despite the fact that she often finds herself in peril thanks to her dangerous line of work, Odelle exceeds at keeping calm at all times. She is extremely self-possessed and confident in both her own abilities and in the fact that she is protected by her Goddess, leading her to be borderline arrogant. This goes for all situations, not just dangerous ones; she has a pokerface of steel, and nothing surprises her or gets a great show of emotion out of her.

Odelle is always doing what she can to lessen other's burdens and offer a helping hand wherever she goes. Her approach to life is one of forgiveness and mercy; there isn't a resentful or angry bone in her body even for the most heinous of people. She offers everyone she meets sympathy and salvation. However, she isn't a pushover and will not be burned more than once -- her kindness is not to be mistaken for naiveity.

Odelle operates under the impression that her life is not her own, but belongs to Selûne. To this end she is very accepting of the things around her and rather than fight against fate or try to forge her own way in life, she floats along and does what good she can along the way. She believes that whatever happens is the will of Selûne and that it should be accepted instead of questioned. She would die without a second thought if she thought it was what was needed of her.

While the unspeakable horrors Odelle sees day in and day out might affect others in a negative way, they don't affect Odelle! Even though (or perhaps because) she is often faced with the worst that humanity and beyond has to offer, Odelle hasn't lost her good nature or the ability to see the beautiful things in life. She is a firm believer that there is always a bright side and she's more than willing to share this with people around her, whether they like it or not.

For as long as she can remember, Odelle has been told that she is blessed and that her blessing comes with an important responsibility. She is very single-minded in her devotion to Selûne and has let any kind of personal life fall by the wayside of what she considers to be her divine purpose in life; her loyalty to her cause is unwavering, and nothing will ever be more important to her than her duty.

Odelle is a truly kind and giving person, which is why it's often a surprise when she says things plainly or without any regard for other's feelings; there isn't a cruel bone in her body, but she has always struggled to understand and read the emotions of other people. She has a total inability to 'read the room' and she doesn't see the point in beating around the bush, often coming across as blunt and uncaring in the way that she speaks when the opposite couldn't be more true. She's very aware of this and makes an active effort to improve it, though the results are usually awkward and stunted.

• Her spellcasting focus is also her holy symbol, a silver brooch of an eye with a crescent moon encircling it, and a droplet beneath the moon. It glows when Odelle calls upon Selûne's magic.

Background
Found outside a Moon Elf community in the country of Avscon, Odelle was blessed from the very beginning. The Moon Elves, sensing that the Tiefling was a gift from their worshiped deity Selûne, took Odelle in and raised her as if she was their own. From a young age, Odelle was taught to be pious and to take her religious responsibilities very seriously. She spent most of her time growing up in the temple dedicated to Selûne, learning different magic from the acolytes who lived there and getting her education. She was revered and respected for her healing gifts early on, though she remained humble.
Eventually Odelle became aware of how good life was in Katinhata in comparison to anywhere else in Avscon -- the moon elves kept themselves shut away in order to keep themselves safe and to preserve their way of life. Seeing all of the suffering that those outside the forest faced was enough to spur Odelle into leaving the forest in order to deliver the blessing that Selûne had bestowed upon her to others with the reluctant blessing of her village.
After leaving the forest, Odelle became a nomad, wandering all over the country with Selûne's protection in order to help those that needed it most. She spends most of her time casting down the undead that plague the country as she goes from city to city to perform funeral rites for those that have passed on and might not get a sending any other way. She also offers her healing powers to anyone who needs it, friend or foe.
Relationships
partner Odelle first encountered Bastard while the other Tiefling was on the brink of death. She nurtured them back to health and although they disappeared into the night after she healed them, she had a feeling that they would see each other again -- and see each other again they did. They met again a few years later and over time have become a well-known duo in Avscon for the good that they do smuggling people out of the country and helping those that have to remain in it. Although their relationship is slightly ambiguous, Odelle considers Bastard her partner in just about every way, including romantic. She often writes them flowery loves letters when they are apart.
nemesis Tally and Odelle had a casual relationship at first, meeting at the market when Odelle purchased honey from Tally's booth. When Odelle learned that Tally's wife passed away she went out of her way to perform funeral rites to help lay Irene to rest and keep Tally company in her darkest hours. Discovering that Tally has committed the unforgiveable taboo of necromancy to bring her wife back, however, Odelle's feelings toward the woman have dramatically soured. Their relationship is tense now, and Odelle goes out of her way to avoid seeing Tally or Irene.
