🗑️ A carefree and hardy Grem. Their blithe stroll through life has been hampered by many mishaps, both comical and tragic. It's difficult to tell when they are screwing up or things are screwing up for them. Despite their deeply introspective nature, they don't seem to stress figuring it out. Brenston is a little hazy to interpret from a social perspective — very much so the phlegmatic type, preferring to communicate through gestures and facial expression rather than speech. Favorite animals include snails, cuttlefish, rays, and dogs. Favorite foods are eggs, onions, escargot, calamari, and lemon-flavored anything.

At first, they appear impassive and hard to approach. When not at their job fixated on work, they're often seen sitting in seclusion, even in public spaces. In truth, Brenston is a Grem of warmth and gentleness: though they savor privacy, they're welcoming of anyone's approach, appreciating diverse natures around them. Dedicated but naive, they struggle to find a healthy balance in their generous nature. They pride themselves in being hard to wear down, but this has has caused them to overwork themselves through exhaustion and injury. Because of this, they are hard of hearing and asthmatic, and bear a slight limp in their walk.

JOB / HOBBIES

Collects Egg decor. LOVES cleaning, enjoying finding new ways to maintain environments, both at home and at work. They have to resist buying new cleaning products every time they go shopping. They love cooking savory dishes — though they suck at baking. Happily offers babysitting services occasionally. They own Ball Pythons, Emperor Scorpions, and ferrets.

HISTORY

Brenston was created to serve in a laboratory as an assistant. Although very knowledgeable on the material, they proved to be a liability operating in the actual lab workspace. Due to clumsiness, they often injured themselves, broke equipment, botched procedures— and induced many headaches. They were continuously assigned less and less time in the lab until they served (rather obliviously) as a janitor in the facility for several years. The staff didn't even notice when the Grem strayed off at some point, vaguely longing for a change in scenery. Nowadays they wander around a lot, and have worked countless of janitorial positions across Palleth — being the only line of work they're accustomed to.

Tomate  [ partner ]

Brenston's beloved partner. They become an entirely different Grem in the presence of Tomate, matching the other's ample energy and foolishness. They love to tease each other and laugh together endlessly, set off into spells of giddiness by even the smallest things. Their merriment tends to quickly escalate into rowdiness, and they end up tussling regardless of wherever they are or whoever is near. Bren treasures how silly yet sincere their bond is, encouraged to be brave in times of uncertainty in their life with Tomate cheering them on. How happy and secure they feel with the other is incomparable.
