Lily entered the world one crisp, dark morning in the small village of Alvarna, the land of the arts. Her mother, ill from the pregnancy and weak from Lily's delivery succumbed to her sickness, leaving the young girl orphaned at birth. She was shortly taken in by the local orphanage, where she ultimately stayed until released during her teenage years. From an early start, Lily showed a natural talent and passion for the arts, finding music in the many sounds that littered her day-to-day life. Patrons of the orphanage saw her artistic prowess as a way to best represent Alvarna's already rich artistic history, quickly enrolling her into ballroom dancing classes and painting. Though her patrons funded these endeavors, Lily never seemed to take a genuine interest in these activities, her desire for more energetic and liberating music and dance a shock to her investors. Such genres of song and dance were more modern, and in order to save the sanctity of Alvarna's reputation, they forbade her from anything they deemed to be too modern, forcing her to remain rooted in the classics.
As she grew, her detestation for those that bound her grew, along with her faltering motivation for the things she once found joy in. After her emancipation from the orphanage, her investors placed her in her own house, subjecting her to hours upon hours of unwanted PR and media attention. The light that once brightened up the room slowly left her eyes, and she found herself spiraling into a pit of depression and severe anxiety, the weight of Alvarna's reputation too heavy for a young teenager to carry. She still went to her daily ballroom dancing classes and piano lessons, despite her obvious hatred for the two, trying her best to live up to the standards set for her by her management. By the time she reached adulthood, Lily has about reached her limit, the iron grip that kept her from her passions snapping her frayed mind in two, and after a public meltdown at a village soiree, she fled into the night, finding her way to the then developing town of Aurelia. There she hid, begging for lodgings and keeping her head down as she attempted to gather herself and think of her next moves.
It was in Aurelia that she came to realize the amount of freedom that its people had, the music lively and grand, and the people kind and accepting. She grew fond of the cobblestone streets and shops and decided to bring her own flair to the scene. It was in Aurelia that Lily found herself again, dancing with strangers under town square fairy lights and laughing amidst the joyous chatter during monthly festivals. Aurelia's people fell in love with her vitality and beautiful spirit, deeming her "The People's Princess", a name which Lily carries with the highest honor to this day. It wasn't long before her patrons in Alvarna found her, their forcefulness and show of physical altercation a disruption and unwanted sight to Aurelia's people. Before the fighting got too out of hand, it was quashed by Hotaru, another native Alvarnan to who Lily had grown close in recent years. Kindred spirits in knowing the mistreatment from older Alvarnans, Hotaru stood by her side, freeing her from the lifelong neglect and baggage of her past.
In recent years, Alvarna and Aurelia have grown close as sister villages, much to Hotaru's credit and dedication, now that she has taken her rightful place as Firefly Valley's Council Head. The passing of authority in Alvarna has only enriched the now progressive and more accepting atmosphere of the artistic village, which begged and pleaded for their Lily to come home. With much hesitation, she did, only to find that her home had welcomed her back with open arms and heavy promises to take better care of her and her needs. Today, Lily has made Alvarna her home once more, bringing the spirit of music and self-expression along with her, inspiring those around her to be their true, authentic selves, and live their lives like there is no tomorrow. Under Hotaru's guidance, she now manages music and festivals as the head music coordinator. Lily has truly made a name for herself across the region and even beyond, bringing music and happiness to everyone she meets.

Due to the amount of music she listens to, a lot of her friends joke that she knows every single song created (even though she tells them otherwise).
She is always down to listen to new music genres and incorporate them into festivals.
Lily to this day still finds herself anxious, fearing she isn't doing her best or putting in enough effort. It's an insecurity she just hasn't yet healed, which takes a toll on her self-confidence.

Best Friend
Lily was the first person Khalid met after the time traveler gained the confidence to leave his clocktower and ask the townsfolk of modern-day Aurelia for help. In order to stay in post-modern Aurelia with his partner, Bailey, he knew he would need some outside assistance in making sure the venture was possible, and with loads of encouragement from Bailey, Khalid attempted to make himself known. Unfortunately, his social anxiety and agoraphobia got the better of him, and thankfully Lily was there to assist in grounding him, offering her assistance immediately and proving to Khalid that Aurelia truly had changed from the way it was during his youth. After finding a way to safely manage his time traveling and successfully bringing Bailey to the present-day, Khalid makes it a habit to visit Lily in Alvarna or Aurelia when the musically-gifted woman is in town.
Friend / Boss
One of Hotaru's friends from Alvarna, Lily is the pride and joy of their hometown, despite the latter not agreeing so. Lily has slowly become Alvarna's model citizen, living up to the tradition and legends of the village through her innate love for music and the arts. Recognizing her passion, Hotaru leaves much of the music coordination for all events up to her, which Lily quite enjoys. Hotaru trusts Lily's judgments quite deeply and would protect the woman with her life.
Best Friend
On a quest to find literary inspiration, Yiruma made his way to Alvarna on a week-long vacation, as most individuals partaking in the arts do. And, because he decided to stay in Alvarna, directly at the source, it was inevitable that he met Lily. The two met at one of the weekly festivals that are held in the village, the anonymous writer was entranced by the dancer's movements and energy, and he couldn't help but introduce himself. It was hard to not fall for her gentle understanding and humor, and he admires just how authentically she lives, and how she encourages others to do the same. When Yiruma makes the trip from Waekefield to Alvarna, the two always make it a habit to hang out, catching each other up on their lives. Yiruma has yet to reveal his identity to the girl, despite Lily being a fan of his works, but he hopes that with a bit more time he will find it in himself to be as authentic as she is- hopefully she won't realize many of his romantic works are inspired by her.
