About

Azariah is a chaotic demon who thrives off of making deals and contracts with mortals. Despite his mischievous nature, Azariah has never been known to not complete a deal with mortals, and makes only deals he can actually complete. He is believed to enjoy the concept of mortals, and might be conspiring against hell and Baphomet.

Mythology

Azariah is a more well-known demon in the world he inhabits in the sense that there is a decent amount of belief in him and mythology around him, whether it is true or not. Legends say that Azariah is a renegade marquis, duke, or even prince formerly working under the Patron of Demons and the Apocalypse himself, Baphomet. No reasoning is ever given for him defecting, but it is the most widely agreed myth about the demon. 

A smaller myth says that he was once mortal when the world was first created, and the disconnected parts of his body are wounds from his death, and that Baphomet brought him back to life to serve him in the underworld in return. 

Relationships

Baphomet  [ the literal devil ]

Believed to be Azariah's former "employer". Since Azariah's defection, Baphomet seems to be sending feelers out to find, and possibly kill the lesser demon, but seemingly can't be bothered to go out and do it himself. 

Lazarus  [ unknown ]

Their relationship and history is unknown, but Lazarus seems to be actively seeking Azariah out. Whether it's to kill him or some other reason, no one truly knows what her motives are.
