Cherub of Punishment
Cecil Migues. The team’s investigator and the one behind the wheel on all of the assigned missions. Cecil’s in charge of collecting data and determining what approach the team has to take during their investigations. More often than not, his work is the major factor that prevents his coworkers from the probability of angering the spirits, which if they do, there won't be any other choice left but to use force. His research also helps everyone take the most careful procedures in order to get closer to the outcome that they all strive for: to understand and to help.
With the utter success that he’s brought since his recruiting it feels like things have become a tad bit easier. Surrounded by friends and understanding people, doing the things he's best at and most importantly doing everything to achieve the safety of humans has helped him get his life together and keep himself afloat.
However, the truth always laughs in his face, reminding him how his story starts way before his birth. It shows through people insulting him, judging him, fearing him, even picking up fights, or through difficulties with things as minuscule as buying groceries. But despite the struggle and detachment he has to face, he never lets himself stay on the ground for too long. He always gets up, attempting to write his own story through gritted teeth, no matter how insistent the devils and gods are.

Looks can be deceiving, but Cecil proves that it’s not always the case. Intimidating, he almost never smiles nor loosens his facial features around people. Anger painted on his face seems to never go away. Each remark or skewed look is seconds away from him shouting in fury, ready to tell you where's your place. His fists - always clenched. Posture ready at all times, as if he was about to hurt someone.
Until you actually get to know him, that is.
His voice is gruff and jaded, but there’s no drop of anger or impatience that you could have sworn you heard before. He looks intimidating. He's not a petite man with a gentle voice and soft features, but he's nothing like he seems to be at first. Cecil's a textbook example of an introvert. If you give him a chance; he turns out to be a calm and reserved person. He's eager to help and understand; to listen rather than be listened to.
Usually tired and lost in his own thoughts, Cecil doesn’t seek any conflict whatsoever. Staying in the shadows and avoiding crowds by default, knowing what he could expect. He isn't someone who wants to be perceived as unstable. But at the end of the day, people give him no choice, and he’s done turning the other cheek.

- Has an allergy to strawberries. They don't cause any skin irritation or severe stomach ache, but he will feel nauseous after consuming.
- Almost always slouches, it's a personal habit rooted in his belief that with this posture he can look less intimidating.
- He smokes, but he keeps himself accountable and makes sure the habit won't turn into an addiction.
- Feels a deep disliking towards formal attire. He really likes the style itself but wearing it not so much. It forces him to look in the mirror and he's not so fond of his reflection. Nor mirrors. The only reason he wears them is because of a the attire requirements at work.

Relationships
Eurelious [ best friend ]
The first time Cecil laid his eyes on Eurelious was the moment he was almost choked by his peers. The academy wasn't a breath of fresh air as Cecil would have hoped, and rather another environment where he was the prime target of cruelty. It was at the library when the Throne heard sounds of struggle coming from behind further bookshelves. Eurelious was the first person to ever stand up for Cecil: he didn't hesitate using his powers to tear the students away for the upperclassman’s safety. From that day, the two were inseparable. It almost felt like they’ve known each other for years by how close they were. Despite Cecil's size and rank, he could never defend himself just like that day, unlike Eurelious who wouldn't even take a second to think before launching into fight for his friend.
That to say, Eurelious have faced his own demons at that time. He would never bring it up to not worry his friend, but Cecil noticed quite early on his own. The change that followed was something nobody expected at the time, and while Cecil protecting Eurelious did make people even more scared of him, all that mattered to him was for his friend to feel safe and read his textbooks in peace. These days are long gone, but despite the separation influenced by the different paths they've taken at graduation, Cecil and Eurelious have been given another chance. Reunited, thanks to Tanith who badged them as her team members, their friendship became stronger than ever before. Despite their differences and how much they’ve changed from the last time they saw each other, the two still hold their old quirks and jokes close to heart.

Vern "The Grinch" [ nuisance / colleagues / comedic relief (?) ]
From the moment Vern parked his car at the CPN lot, later approaching Cecil on his smoke break, the two men turned into rivalry rather quickly. Vern has shown interest in Tanith straight away and with his skill and stubbornness pursue a role at the faculty. Vern made it pretty clear that his motive is to continue serving Tanith, which didn't sit well with Cecil at all. However, he managed to pick up that Vern is very easy to set off and decided to use that to hopefully make the man regret his decision. Following that, their acquaintanceship turned into a game of chess with a pinch of fire and food throwing. Unlike how the detective would have hoped, the new colleague didn’t even think of turning another cheek the first time Cecil decided to toy with his nerves. In fact, Vern always finds a way to remind him with who he decided to mess with.
Vern loathes him for trying to get close to Tanith. Cecil pranking him whenever he gets the chance only has strenghten the feeling, and Cecil dislikes him for getting in the way and not showing any signs of giving up. Nevertheless, despite the disliking being mutual, they still make a good team, whereas if things get complicated and risky, they will work side by side. ...Eventually.
Elisyil [ boss / nuisance ]
Their relationship is pretty complicated from the very start. Elisyil always found something to be nitpicky about; whenever he trained alongside his colleagues under Tanith's careful eye the second Elisyil showed up she would slam his back and sides with a pointer. His hair and how he presents himself has always been brought up in conversations sooner or later. His work and research always could be looked into more and improved. His fighting style was always messy and inelegant. If that wasn't enough, every year on remembrance day Cecil will try to sneak in with his usual curly hair only for her to spot him and reach out with a comb.
He loathes her. Most of his and Eurelious's jokes are about her to let that steam out. He wishes she could cut him some slack, or to at least find the reason behind such treatment where his other colleagues aren't having it as bad. Whenever he finds himself questioning her motives, he remembers that he also doesn't want to know, reminding himself that he's not an Angel to many and that could also be the case.
