| About: Philipp used to be a very successful manager back in the nineties, he has a keen eye for what his clients want and as result became very well-off financially. He is quick to spot undiscovered talent and even more quick to convince someone into signing a contract that may not benefit them but has problems separating his personal life with his professional work. After his main client (and on and off lover, Jacob) disappeared and was later found dead he abandoned his job. Philipp feels has a a deep love for rock and knows a lot about its history, going to concerts is one of his favorite things to do. He grew up in a conservative, strict family in Connecticut and always wanted to study something related to music but felt that he wasn't very good at it so he tried to be as close to what he considered to be "real musicians" as he could, helping them get the recognition they deserved through questionable means and shady contacts he and his family had while acting very rude towards artists who he deemed to be less deserving of his attention, Philipp's personality can be off putting, he's very pleasant for short periods of time, while at work or dealing with people but finds it extremely hard to act more natural around others and has an extremely deep feeling of loneliness when outside his work, the only exceptions being when Jacob or his friend Angela are with him. |

| Trivia: His family made him take dancing classes, he is very good at it, unfortunately he hates dancing. Gets his name misspelled on coffee cups a lot, it makes him flinch every time it happens. Loves old rock the most, his father used to collect old records and Philipp felt like that was the only thing they could really talk about. Can play a couple of songs on the piano. By far the hardest client he ever had, besides being extremely rude and self-entitled, Jacob had the most beautiful voice Philipp had ever heard making him fall head over heels, they went back and forth between wanting to get something out of the other and genuinely caring about each other but showing it in questionable ways. Philipp made sure to pay every radio station to inflate Jacob's numbers and Jacob felt indebted to him as he felt his career wouldn't have gotten anywhere without Philipp's preferencial treatment. Philipp knew Jacob was manipulating him but allowed it because he knew Jacob depended completely on him, if anything it was by his grace that Jacob was allowed to do as he will, so it's fine, they're fine, its fine. They liked going on long road trips to destroy private property, shoot bottles and fight in the middle of nowhere, it was the only time Philipp felt he could be truly intimate with someone. Eventually he grew obsessed with Jacob, putting him and his music on a pedestal of sorts but the hardest he pushed so Jacob would stay with him regardless of what happened to the band the hardest Jacob shoved to get away, Philipp still has conflicted feelings towards him. | Philipp's most trusted friend, they used to date before he realized that he wasn't interested in women. They've known each other for a very long time and Philipp tries helping her search for jobs, partially because her career took a big hit when she rejected a good opportunity her university was giving her and instead directed a flop for one of his clients in exchange for little money and no credit. Philipp still feels very guilty about it. They still see each other to watch bad eighties movies, go drinking at fancy restaurants or just spending time together, they understand and care a lot about the other but would rather not talk about the more complicated aspect of their relationship. |
One of the few people Philipp has seriously considered representing, maybe because he feels the need to protect him from the worst parts of the industry of which he participated or maybe because he reminds him of someone... | Like most members of Jacob's band, Philipp knows that Jack never trusted him completely but never really cared. As long as he kept to represent Jacob, Philipp didn't care much about them and they didn't care much about Philipp as long as he did his job. Jack stands out to him because he tried to understand his and Jacob's relationship, showing signs of worry when seeing them enabling each other's bad habits but wasn't sure how to approach them about it, that and Philipp suspected Jacob had feelings for Jack but damn it if he didn't try so hard to make Jacob forget about them. They still see each other occasionally as Angela is Jack's wife but they try not to interact for too long if they can help it. |
