A member of a powerful dragon race Keenan has powerful fire magic and a terrifying dragon form. He was born to an important family who had high plans for him. Deciding his peoples close mindedness toward other races limited any real knowledge of the world he chose to leave the safety of their land causing events that estranged him from his home. His best friend is a young woman named Eloria who helped him when he was injured during an ice storm. His other main source of companionship is his friend/familiar Magdala a winged cat.
He is a well-trained fire mage and uses special crystals to strengthen his endurance with spell casting. He also has a sword forged by his race in a sheath to disguise it as a staff but he tends to let Eloria carry it. Though curious about the world around him and eager to learn Keenan is slow to approach most people for fear of how they may react. He knows people tend to fear those that are different and tries to avoid confrontations. If attacked by misguided mobs he will try to flee or scare them off with a show of flame. Showing he can surround himself in flame tends to work. If on the other hand the attackers are someone more serious than spooked townsfolk or his friends are in danger he can because a force to be reckoned with.
Keenan has the ability to create fire and absorb the energy from flames. He can also create a barrier to contain or block the heat from the fires . In dragon form, he can create wings out of flame and his fire shield in order to fly.
