this poor bastard is gautiers personal dredge which means he has to be at gautiers side at all times when hes awake to do whatever gautier may wish him to do and he has to do whatever tasks gautier needs done during the day

gautier has other dredges to do various tasks around his chateaux but giacomo is his favorite. this is not a good thing

giacomo is italian, went to france to go to a university there. he was looking in a newspaper to see if there were any jobs available in the area and gautier's listing was incredibly vague but paid disgustingly well so gia took the offer. after a bit of time working there he was offered board at the chateaux which he also agreed to. and so he, from then on, had to wait on gautier hand and foot. hes no longer going to university, by the way

gautier eventually went from having giacomo do...regular servant things??? to having him do shit like disposing of remains after he revealed to giacomo that hes a vampire. giacomo also helps him in and out of his coffin every morning and night.

the poor kid never has time to himself. he sleeps like 4 hours max every day. help him

he gets shipped to the us IN GAUTIERS COFFIN WITH HIM at the start of atsb because gautier didnt want to have to figure out everything needed to legally get giacomo into the us. so they both became cargo. it was a truly awful experience and hes probably claustrophobic now because of it

his workload is a little less bad now that hes living with zeb and benji now, at least. benji was very firm with gau that no, we're not gonna make this kid do everything for both us and you, and in fact hes gonna be able to take a fucking break every now and then because me and zeb can do shit like go to the store for you, or whatever
