Dwarf, though he's exceptionally small even for a dwarf! He's a dwarf-dwarf.

His mother died in giving birth to his little brother, but he doesn't remember much about her. He was really little when she passed. And his father passed of disease when he was entering his early 20s. He's okay! He's okay, he just... Didn't think he'd feel this alone. His dad and mom were the king and queen of the mountain, so... Did everyone just pretend to like him until his parents passed and there was no need to pretend anymore? He's got his younger brother, Onsett, and even then that "got" is a little tenuous, as well as his older brother, Octet, who's... Really a good guy, seriously! But he's a little distant and cold most of the time. So Cognet is just sorta alone just a little bit. B-but he's fine! He's not ungrateful. H-he's just maybe a little bit lonelier than he'd like to be.

Being especially small, even for a dwarf, he's got a rather unimpressive stature and a short beard. He's kind of proud that he was able to grow one at all. Ssh. Don't ruin it for him.
