Wool is a bee from Hollow Knight who survived the fall of the Hive and the Kingdom. She is a little bit of a bastard and honestly exists for the meme but I love her anyway.
Her closest friend and partner is Pothos, a mute calico vessel. Wool interprets for them every so often, but she doesn't do it well. She has a genuine desire to please her partner, so Pothos wouldn't begrudge her for it anyway. The two understand each other, joined at the hip for as long as anyone can remember.
Somehow Wool was hatched without the instructions that other bees get when they are hatched. She is simply vibing out here doing her best and Vespa just lets her. This is likely what let her survive Hallownest's fall and remain uninfected despite the fall of the rest of the bees.
She and Pothos continue to roam the fallen kingdom. Wool is happy to follow her partner and get into new kinds of trouble where they go.
