Facts: Due to his family name meaning essentially the same thing as 'Sparkle', and Twilight Sparkle being known for her magical prowess (as well as being a world saving princess, of course), somepony made a parody of him in which he is portrayed similar to Trixie in the FiM episode Magic Duel and calls himself 'Spark the Spectacular'. Eventide found this so ridiculous that he took up the name for when he appeared on comedy shows. He is occasionally mistaken to be female due to his appearance and high-pitched voice by new viewers, and also is known to like being organised, hence some ponies jokingly called him 'Lady Tidey', and it became a taunt by his haters. However, he doesn't think much of it, and once said he was flattered by the name as it implied he was beautiful enough to be considered a 'lady'.
