Ryder (牧童, Bokudō) is a cranky horse villager on Old Pine island. His name is meant to be similar to "rider", relating to riding horses. His catchphrase, "partner", is to fit his cowboy theme. His aesthetic seems to be based old western actors.This profile is based on the Animal Crossing fandom wikia profiles, which you can see an example here for comparison.
Appearance
Ryder is based on a mustang, with natural inspired markings and colors. He intially wears a houndstooth knit and has a facial hair stubble. He has tired brown eyes, with some slight aging. He has a pink scar that goes across his muzzle, and wears a cowboy hat accessory. When it rains, he will initially carry the maple umbrella.
Personality
Cranky villagers will usually appear in a grouchy or agitated mood and are more difficult to befriend than most other villager types. When talking to the player, cranky villagers tend to become angry if the player disagrees with them or refuses to do a favor. Like all cranky villagers, Ryder will be invested in his hobby and will often challenge the player to various competitions. He will easily get along with jock, snooty and other cranky villagers, and occasionally lazy and normal villagers as well. However, he will find it hard to socialize with peppy villagers, as they will seem overstimulated or immature. Ryder will also enjoy spreading rumors about other villagers.
House
Ryder's house has a historical and western theme. Some notable items being the saddle fence, the cow skull, and the watering trough. He also has some ranch items like the ranch couch, ranch tea table, and ranch hutch. He also uses the cowhide rug flooring. He has a retro stereo playing K.K. Condor.
Pocket Camp
Ryder's preferred theme is rustic.
