History


I used to believe that bad things only happened to those who deserved it.
So either we did something wrong by being alive, or those... people made a move they'll regret.

...And if you'd ask me, I'd vote for the latter.

Arc 1

  • In the time between her setting out on her own, and her meeting with Erika and Flaye, she for the most part kept away from others. Almost a year later, she started slowly going into the nearest towns of where she travelled, and would occasionally take up simple hunting requests the town might have in exchange for necessities and later, actuall currency.
    • However, due to her limited exposure to other people/creatures than what she had seen on her hunting trips in the past, she would often need to research what the different preys were before she would accept the request, usually in the form of a trip to the library (or library equivalent, in the smaller places).

Skills & Abilities


  • Is able to use the bow and arrow, and can resort to using knives if needed.
    • Was trained by her father (after some convincing) of the Irshad family business, hunting. This included training with the bow and arrow and, to a lesser degree, with knives in case of running out of arrows or otherwise being unable to use the bow.
    • The training also included various "techniques" passed down in the family, which allowed the hunter to never lose the location of their prey, no matter where they went to hide, to increase the force of the arrow, to increase the dexterity of the hunter, etc..
    • The "techniques" are, however, not magic. Totally not magic. That'd be silly, right? Right?
  • Has ice-like powers, though using too much of them at once will cause her to pass out.
    • She blames the powers for her "inability to feel emotions"
    • Her body temperature is slightly lower than a normal human. Before she managed to get control over the passive leak of her powers, her body temperature felt like that of a dead body, with a slight chill emitting from her very being.
    • Using her powers slightly changes her eye colour to a more light, icy-blue colour.
    • She has a mark on her chest, right above her heart, which is where the power's most likely coming from. Every time she's using her powers, she feel a slight tingle on the mark, and the more she uses of it the more it hurts, until she passes out due to the pain.

Appearance


  • Hair:
    • Colour: Blonde
    • Somewhat "fluffy" and wavy (?).
  • Eye colour: Green
  • Wears a light green (-ish) cape-thingy with a hood. Underneath, she wears a green jacket with parts of it sticking up from beneath the cape-thingy, and a white shirt that she keeps up to her elbows with leather straps (? Something like that...). Blue pants, brown(?) shoes. On the belt on her pants, has a little pink bag.
    • Her bow is brown, and the quiver on her back is a light blue/turqoise colour with a silver grey metal part on top.

Trivia


  • She was originally created to be a part of a Living Legends roleplay, with the concept of "magical archer", but the game never got past the planning phase.
    • She was suppoused to be able to feel more emotions and be more afraid of the group that attacked her family. Instead, she's now more out of touch with understanding her emotions, and the fear has been replaced with a more wrath/hatred towards the group.

Father


Retired hunter. Deceased. Became 51 years old.

Grew up in a family line of hunters, well known for their talents. After meeting and marrying Saffira, ran away from his family to keep her and their family safe from potential threats. Trained Sieghild in the art of hunting (it was suppoused to be her brother who recieved the training, but he refused to take up hunting) after he injured himself in an hunting accident. Was killed in an attack against their family by hooded figures, seemingly from Saffira's past.

Retired wizard. Deceased. Became 49 years old.

Ran away from her family and home in Taeryn due to her wish to study magic, which was illegal in Taeryn, and not wanting to be in an arranged marrige. Was killed, along with her husband, in an attack by zealots wanting to punish her for abandoning her duty and running away. Before dying, managed to put a spell on Sieghild, protecting her from whatever curse the zealots tried to put on her, resulting in her ice powers.

Tammaro

Elder brother


28 years old. Aspires to become a world-renowned inventor/engineer.

Having mostly only each other (plus their family) the two siblings grew close. Sure, they had their petty arguments and played jokes on each other (one joke going as far as to almost drown Sieghild in a pile of fish), but they would always support each other. When Sieghild wanted to learn hunting but their father wouldn't teach her, Tammaro argued that since he didn't want to learn hunting to begin with, it would be the perfect opportunity. Whenever Tammaro needed something for one of his experiments and they couldn't join their father for the monthly trip to the market, Sieghild would try and find it (or something that could substitute it) while on her hunting trips.

Relationship


Out of the two other travelling companions, Sieghild most understand/get along with Erika due to their similar work ethics. Whenever the group encounters something that Sieghild doesn't know about (which is most of the time, like when they first encountered elves), Erika explains what they are to her. It might be a bit biased due to Erika's (and her country's) view on magic, but whatever might be flavoured by that is usually contradicted by Flaye.

Flaye

Relationship


At first, Sieghild only saw Flaye as the person who stole her job from her. The bitterness took a long time to grow away, but it was helped along by Flaye's demonstrations of helpfulness (like during their first job, when Flaye flew after Sieghild when she fell down a large cliff, and helped her to safety). But Sieghild really struggles to get along with her due to Flaye's extroverted nature, and her own struggle with understanding interactions between people. At times, she chimes in on Flaye's jokes, but most of the time, she's taking them too seriously, and misses the point.

Later during their adventures, when Flaye confesses her feelings for her, she rejects it, stating that she doesn't understand /what/ she feels for her. The only thing she does feel, is that she doesn't want to hurt Flaye's feelings if what she feels for Flaye isn't what Flaye's feelings are. After some awkward moments between them, the two agree that they can at least take things slow and at Sieghild's pace, until she gets a better understanding of her own feelings and emotions.
