General

Luca is an ancient shadow deer from the north, lived in the viking era and has been around since then, bearing the same appearance he had back then, other than his original fashion. He lost his wife and children to the grasp of a massive ice beast who emerged from the mountain when a foolish band of exiled vikings stirred the beast from it’s sleep. While his son Dag and daughter Astrid were out foraging  the beast tore through their path, rampaging, he left the two fawns in shambles with their baskets full of herbs strewn about the forest clearing.  

Luca’s wife Freya, named after the Norse goddess Freya, was the first to find their children, heartbroken and enraged she went home and fetched her battle axe then marched to the snowy peaks to seek vengeance  for the loss of her children. Unfortunately Freya fell in battle, she was later found mutilated and buried in bloodied snow when Luca returned from his hunt.

With sorrow and anger Luca buried his family then set out to defeat the ice beast who took everything from him. This battle raged on for a week till Luca’s various tactics felled the beast eventually. Cutting the beast's head off with his axe, he crafted a mighty and massive battle axe crafted from the beast’s skull. He carries this axe with him still but has modified it into a bass guitar, the sound that comes from it is unique, unlike any instrument.

Broken for many years, he trudged through history alone, only staying with a few temporary friends until moving on to the next land alone, fearing to be close to anyone and then possibly losing them like he lost his family. It wasn’t till the 19th century  when he met Isaiah and Godrick, much later on Brice additionally, that he established what he saw as his ‘new’ family. The four have stuck together since then and Luca feels content with them, though he still misses his wife and children of the past.

Random Facts

• His real name is Leiðulfr (pronounced like Leidhulfr) He was nicknamed Luca by Brice and most caught onto it since they struggled to pronounce his real name
• He is a ancient Norse deity in original universe but in Momo he is a ancient Norse shadow creature
• Speaks fluent ancient Norse, Old English / New English, Arabic, Norwegian, Swedish and Danish
  when speaking standard new English he has a thick Norwegian accent
• Very rarely talks, lacks expression, stars blankly with white unblinking glowing eyes, he also rarely blinks
• Bassist of the band, though he can also play lead guitarist easy if he wanted to, he just prefers the sound of bass, can also play drums, cello, violin and piano
• He may be a deer but he is not a vegetarian, he actually eats a lot of meat (mostly fish)
• Is able to eat poisonous and deadly shrooms, gains less energy from them though
• Lost his wife and children to a massive Ice beast who emerged from the mountain when awoken by a foolish band of exiled vikings. While his children foraged in the forest the beast attacked them, killing them both which Luca's wife later discovered. She perished later when she tried to avenge her children, fighting the ice beast alone in a large cave of the mountain. Luca discovered her mutilated corpse too late when he discovered her letter on the table that she wanted the beast's head on a spike for murdering their children.
• Leidhulfr was broken for many years, an empty shell trudging through life without his family, till he eventually met Isaiah then later on Brice, who he sees as a son-like figure. Overtime he accepted them as his new family, though he still misses his wife and children dearly.
