Firstly, They're adorable!! I was drawn to them for that cute little face holding a KNIFE. Definitely can't say I was disappointed.

I love that sweet personality holding something a little bit darker and cunning beneath the surface (with empathy to boot). I can vibe with that "only in name but not in culture or tradition" that Ame feels with the stormspirits. It hurts to think of them going through that, but it makes them really tangible and real to me. The parsing between mask and true identity is also something I treasure in this character, I have boi who struggles with that some too so it's a concept that I hold close to me. Hope you're doing well. I'm gonna be saving this baby for another look & even more perusing later.

Their identity issues are one of my favorite details about their personality/character that I'm playing with, so I'm glad you also found it interesting :D !! And I'm glad it makes them feel more real as well as I worry about their character coming off serious at all when they look like a vaguely marshmallow shaped blob with dot-eyes ha ha xD. Honestly the fact that they're such a simple design magnified the impact for me (basically the "they don't need to be complex to feel this or to portray a vivid story). Basic little bean designs are fabulous for that in my opinion. Always good to accidentally stumble upon someone's favorite detail about a character & fall in love with it too. ^w^
