*August Valencia* (Warriors Au: Wormdawn)

4/5/24 edit: WORMDAWN LORE UPDATE IMPENDING..... ive done a bit of raincry's update already as I'm writing this <3

Ideas:

• September(Needlestar) is still an abusive mom and overall nasty in this AU, names Wormdawn 'Wormkit' because she hates his birth defect arm, and at birth it was sparsely furred, looked like a worm to her. she refused to nurse wormkit and another queen had to. 
• Wormkit still becomes a warriors apprentice (there were already 2 medcat at the time). He's pretty okay at hunting but really skittish when it comes to fighting – prefers to help around camp anyways. The clan REALLY prides fierce/strong warriors due to their constant skirmishes with another clan tho, Wormdawn often feels really inadequate/useless.
• Is greatly outshined by his two littermates Fangtail(June) and Bearstrike(July), both of them being celebrated and strong warriors, and Bearstrike the deputy.
• The rest of the clan isn't nearly as nasty as Needlestar and his siblings are to him LOL, some are like... politely friendly while others are a bit put off by him and don't want to interact with him but usually not outright rude. Regardless of his small leg, Wormdawn isn't great with socializing, and is seen as strange because of this. also not liking eye contact + stimming doesn't help this for him in the eyes of his clanmates...
• But the real kicker was there just wasn't any other cats his age for him to socialize with, apart from his littermates who were taught to hate him by Needlestar. By the time another litter was born, he was a couple months off from being a warrior, and when his litter was made apprentices, the current apprentices were nearly warriors themselves. He just never rlly had the opportunity to make real friends, and kind of gave up on it (until Raincry)

• Warrior mentor EITHER Redsnarl (Ralph) who serves as Wormpaw's only really positive relationship and is a good supportive parental figure (which inturn decreases Wormpaw's social isolation and loneliness just a tad, but would also prob make him super dependant and clingy with Redsnarl. Like that's his dad but also his only friend, even if signif older) OORRR make up a new cat  , Weedthroat, who isn't outright abusive/nasty with Wormpaw but definitely not a friend. Kind of cold and disinterested, doesn't really believe in Wormpaw's ability to do warrior cat things due to his disability and personality so wormpaw ends up teaching himself a lot of stuff (aka worsens wormdawn's isolation and self-esteem/confidence significantly).
