*Brutus Pyridekk* (WC AU: Vinesnap)

WARRIOR CATS DISESAE STRIKES AGAIN.... standby while i type lore.

Member of Violetclan, but absolutely detests their current leader, Violetstar (Renfinus), who, beyond idiotically renaming the clan after himself, has made numerous changes to make the clan worse and worse. Violetclan's culture of being battle-focused and cold-hearted has always irked Vinesnap, but you played along to survive. It all has only gotten worse with Violetstar, and the subsequent destruction/raiding of Cloudclan following The Great Burn (see Raincry for more info).

Similar to canon Brutus, Vinesnap lost hir sight when xe was late into hir apprenticeship, near to graduating. Violetclan being cringe as it is, xe was temporarily forced to become a medcat instead. Xe does value and use the knowledge xe learned from hir several moons training as a medcat, but would not allow hirself to be barred from hunting/fighting, and proved hir fighting ability through a series of brutal duels, of which xe came up the victor. This earned hir the name 'snap' of Vinesnap, from snapping one cat's tail in half (also for hir snappish personality. but shhh).

Hir status in the clan is in between warrior and medcat, and frankly everyone is afraid to challenge hir on it so they don't. Xe still helps the actual medcat with medcat things bc xe thinks it's valuable and cool but starclan knows xe has kinda shit bedside manner LOL....... Vinesnap does genuinely give a shit about the cats of hir clan that are niceys and cool, tho these r very few cats in hir eyes.

Vinesnap mostly hangs with Faintsong (Ujael), who was one of hir littermates and companion thru apprenticeship (and helped hir thru the loss of hir sight alongside hir family). I'm killing Hugo and hir Dad again but Brutus/Vinesnaps Mom + 2 sisters r also around and cool I just haven't given them names yet (or maybe ill kill some of them for lore idk).

Personality/Trivia

• likes listening to birdsong, and prefers to eat other prey to them. tho will still eat/kill them if that's what's available.
• ummmmm may poison some cats with deathberries later don't worry about it. Xe and Raincry's gang of rogues form a murder alliance later <3  (and then make their own clan about it bc we love gay cats and also found family). 
• General basic Brutus personality persists. Quiet and kinda grumpy and irritable but not a true meanie at heart. Enjoys actually being helpful around the clan and doing stuff (workaholic like canon brutus) but also is a control freak and WILL take over tasks if ppl are fucking it up. Still hates people/socializing in general like bye she's leaving unless it's ppl she actually likes and even then she's maybe leaving.
• girl u know xe fights dirty. xe gonna get dirt in ur eyes and kick rocks at u and go for the eyes and you KNOW IT!!!

similarities/differences to canon Brutus

• Pretty similar to canon Brutus tbh. tho I guess less of a lone-wolf and the 'i'm doing this all myself or I'm a pathetic piece of shit' mentality bc she didn't have to figure her shit out alone as much as canon Brutus did.  Also the battle-culture of Violetclan isn't as heavy/toxic as the Pyridekk beastguard PLUS xe hasn't put herself into a leadership position here. Tho xe does have to assert hir reputation still for cats not respecting her bc of hir blindness.
• Canon Brutus is fairly okay at lying bc from being in the heavily political environment she's HAD to build some skills. Vinesnap is kinda dogshit at it lol.
• Still judgemental and opinionated like canon Brutus lol.
