Before Camp Half-Blood

Eudora's Mother, who used to work as a stage designer, met her father on a party that was held to celebrate the big success of a play she was working on with her co-workers for months. She was so proud of it that she promised herself that she'll never quit her job.

Well, at least until Eudora was born. Her mom decided to take few months of break and take care of her daughter. She planned on returning to work as soon as she can leave Dora with her grandparents. That have never happened. The theater she had been working for got closed because of financial problems - a play they put on year before was their last big success.

Her mom gave up theater and started working as a shop assistant. They were both happy together. In kindergarten, Fora discovered her acting skills. Her mom was more than happy for her. Theater became something that they both had in common, the passion, they could share. That made them even closer. Eudora has always been such an energetic child and she had a tendency to cause problems. She got kicked out of four schools.

Her mom was really worried about her and Dora knew it. That's when she first lied to her mom - she told her that she got A on English test, while in fact, she got F. She has never had good grades since her dyslexia was making studying hard for her. She had a feeling that she as doing something wrong, but seeing her mom smile was something she was so happy to see.

Soon after that, lying became her habit.

She was lying to make her mom happier, to get what she wants and to run away from responsibilities. She weaved a net of lies she couldn't escape. At first, it seemed harmless, but when first of her lies were exposed she couldn't feel anything but quilt. She got into even more trouble and was kicked out of her fifth school, but what worse, she lost her mom's trust. She was 10, she didn't know that she was a demigod, but she had already discovered her fatal flaw, that could take her down one day.

Her new school was a boarding school. When she was attending it, she hadn't seen her mom for 7 months straight. When, after all that time, she finally got home, the big surprise was waiting for her.

She was so happy to finally see her mom. She was expecting her to show her video records of her favourite plays, talk about theater and have fun together. She though everything would be the way it used to be.

But what she saw shocked her. In the kitchen there was a man, who were flirting with her mother. He introduced himself as her mom's boyfriend.

That moment Eudora realised that nothing will be the way it used to be. She had always be alone with her mom and she couldn't understand why would she like another person in they lives, when they didn't need anybody. Not only that - her mom told her that she need to go on some summer camp for whole two months! She told her that she would meet her father there. She didn't offer it - she told her that she has o choice. That crossed the line. Dora couldn't stand it anymore. For all her life she had only had a mother, who now wanted to get rid of her sending here to her dad she had never seen with her own eyes. She let her power out causing whole flat to fill with grapevines that she could barely see anything else beside them.

She could as well cry out loud that the demigod was there. All monster within few kilometers knew where she was.

She couldn't fight. She had never had to do it before. The only thing she could do was running away.

Eventually she was rescued by satyrs and taken to Camp Half-Blood. She thought that after that, she could be safe, but her adventurers were actually going to begin.
