【Toxapex】
Starter Pokemon
Trace acquired Toxapex when she was just a Mareanie, though he hadn't caught her through any regular means. In truth, Mareanie was swiped from his sister's pokebelt before he fled home. At the time Mareanie had been a freshly gifted Pokemon, and hadn't imprinted on anyone signifigantly. Though stubborn at first, Toxapex has grown quite fond of it's trainer, no matter how headstrong and exasperating he can be at times. |
【Magnezone】
Second Pokemon
Magnemite was sent to Trace through fan-mail, despite how often the influencer has iterated he doesn't wish for any Pokemon to be gifted to him as he can't comprehend the nature of each Pokemon nor does he find it very moral. Nonetheless Trace didn't intend on releasing a freshly-hatched Magnemite back into the wild, so Magnezone has stuck with him since. He has to admit, they've been a great help in the way of scoping ahead or aerial shots. Not too shabby in battle, either. Steel has always been a rather impressive typing, if a bit stubborn. |
【Shedinja】
Third Pokemon
Shedinja was caught by Trace of free-will. In truth, Trace had always a Pokemon akin to Shedinja. Wonder Guard was a downright laughable ability in Trace's eyes, something he wanted to have for his team of misfits.Shedinja is rather shy in it's nature, but has grown to become a fierce competitor with the right selection of moves and held items. It's a wonder! |
【Blissey】
Fourth Pokemon
Trace was gifted Blissey as a Happiny in his younger years, given to be a medical aid for his physical health when he forgot himself, which was often. Over time Happiny had grown to proving herself as a proficient fighter as well as healer, so she earned her place on Trace's regular, competitive-built team. She still tends to nag him when she deems fit and he finds himself fighting against her as she drags him to the nearest Pokecenter, but she's very appreciated by both the team and the trainer. |
【Gardevoir】
Fifth Pokemon
Gardevoir was met as a Kirlia, launching an onslaught of psychic attacks at Trace when he'd wandered upon the nest of her family of Ralts unexpectedly. Upon realizing he had no interest in the Ralts themselves, Kirlia had felt profusely sorry for the inconvenience. Though still wary of the trainer, she allowed for his help in relocating the Ralts to a more convenient location whilst waiting for their parent to return. Kirlia, upon realizing the nest was now safe, opted to join in on the trainers adventure and has been a staple since. |
【Joltik】
Sixth Pokemon
Joltik had attached itself to Trace on his way out of a visit through Chargestone Cave. Upon discovering the small bug was still clinging to his person, he initially thought the Pokemon had been diseased due to it's strangely more green hue, never one to indulge in the search for shinies. Upon finding out the Joltik was completely fine, simply a different color variant, he opted to keep it as it had chosen to stay on his person to begin with. He might be a bit sentimental for the small thing, but he'd never admit it. |
Notes
Initially considered the unfortunate byproduct of an affluent family of Pokemon researchers, Trace has made a name for himself as an influencer who travels whatever regions he so pleases. Though he sometimes pales in comparison to his universally-known sister, there aren't many that haven't heard of his image through online-related news articles and such. Nowadays he's taken a step-back from his career and begun to focus more on being a thorn in the side of some particular trainers..
- When younger, Trace initally wanted to become a member of the Kantonian Elite Four. He's since given up on the goal, but that's not to say he won't revisit it.
- He has a soft spot for baby Pokemon, though he loathes to admit it.
- Typically tends to avoid most crowded places, such as cities. Tends to skirt around smaller towns and set-up camp within routes, despite how strange it is to see someone of his status doing so.
- Initially irritated by being proclaimed the rival of Fletcher Holm. Nowadays he'd fight tooth and nail to keep the title, despite knowing the other doesn't plan on changing anything.
- He has no current plans of reconnecting with his family name, though he wouldn't be completely opposed to speaking with his sister. Or so he tells himself, he'd likely freeze up if they were put in the same space together.
