Zack Bradshaw

A vicious, blood-thirsty vampire that hunts for those that took his parents from him.
But also runs a pet store where he takes countless pictures of adorable animals.

Being the only vampire family mingling among humans had always been tough for Zack. People often thought of vampires as blood-thirsty monsters, but he liked to think his family wasn't like that. They were nice and kind, always welcoming neighbors and friends. They disguised themselves as a human family, and when they fed they only did so off animals or willing participants. Hell, even a couple local vampire hunters ended up getting convinced that not all vampires were evil!
Unfortunately, meeting the family still wasn't enough to convince some.
Zack helplessly watched, hidden in his pantry, as a hunter came and took his parents. He ran for one of the earlier hunters he'd met for help, but it was too late by then; his parents were long gone with nothing left to help track them. With nobody left, the hunter took him under his wing, raising him as his own and teaching him the trade.
Zack grew to become a hunter himself, only going after those that ran from the law, hoping to eventually find the one responsible for taking his life.

Notes: I made a lil headcanon once that Chad would be coaching his baseball team as usual one day. He'd ask one of the kids to grab his bat for him, the same one he'd soak in holy water every day. And the kid's hand would burn as soon as he'd touch it.
Time passed and with friends we elaborated more and more until I had the idea to make the son his own character!

Personality: Zack takes after one of his adoptive fathers and takes everything very seriously, he isn't very talkative and tends to reply with grunts. He doesn't have a short temper, though he does snap at people when he thinks they're wasting his time. He tends to always look angry.
Although he does get flustered, as he doesn't know how to handle anything romantic. He also has a very soft spot for cute things, especially animals, and it's easy to catch him playing with one of the bunnies or gerbils in his store. He doesn't get embarrassed by it, however, and would very easily grunt at you while holding several puppies.

Weapons:
- Gun - He carries a handgun with him everywhere. It's a gift from his adoptive fathers.

Non-Human Abilities:
- Blood Transfusion - If injured, Zack can feed off blood and use it to heal his wounds. Doesn't work on his arm, however.
- Blood Bank - When he drinks a LOT of blood, his powers break their limits and his vampire side grows stronger. During this brief surge of power, blood solidifies into an arm for him, and he grows wings. His strength and speed drastically increase.
- Heightened Abilities - Not being human, his senses, strength, and speed are better than the average human's.

Drawing Details: Zack dresses semi-formally, wearing a vest and a dress shirt with his sleeve knotted up. Important details are the scars over his face. He's frowning 98% of the time.

Fun/Extra Facts:

- Like his other adoptive father, he has a large social media presence. He runs a page that shows pictures of cute animals.

- He takes his online job very seriously and will get incredibly angry if you as much as swear on his page.

- He never explains how he got his scars or he lost his arm.

- He had a fiance. He will never talk about her.

- He will protect those he dubs cute.

- If you have animal ears you are instantly cute.

- There are people that willingly will give their blood to vampires. Those are Zack's only source of sustenance. He ALWAYS makes sure they consent, and never bleeds them dry.

- He can eat human food and have human drinks, but his stomach is considerably smaller than a human's. He fills up quickly and it doesn't provide him with enough nutrients like blood does.

- Hates garlic. It doesn't hurt him, he just thinks it's disgusting.

- Hates mirrors. It doesn't hurt him, he just hates seeing his scars.

- Hates sunlight. It doesn't kill him, he just sunburns easily.
