- Kaoru has a variety of panels on his body that can open up and allow access to his wiring.
- He needs maintenance relatively regularly: about once a month for basic fine-tuning, and about once every six months for a full-body tune-up. He could likely go longer, but consistent checkups keep him functional.
- Kaoru has pretty much constant access to the internet. He can connect to any wifi-source without needing a password, but typically doesn't because that's rude.
- He can be a bit awkward about picking up social cues sometimes, but Kaoru is ultimately a pretty sweet kid.
- Kaoru is also relatively sheltered but like. I don't think he's really processed that at all. It just kind of happened that way.

- Chihiro Nakajima ("mother"); His... "mom" technically! Chihiro is the one who made him, of course, and Kaoru loves and appreciates her deeply. She's a big reason his code developed, after all!
- FRIENDS;;—
- Kana Oshiro (best friend); Kana is someone that Kaoru really cares deeply about! The two of them met in middle school, and Kana took to meddling in his life without hesitation or restraint, honestly. They are his primary engineer, having essentially taken the position over from his mother. She's the closest thing Kaoru will get to a sister, probably.
- Honoka Matsumoto (best friend); Along with Kana, Kaoru met Honoka in middle school! The two of them are very close, often needing to be the common sense to Kana's enthusiasm and optimism. Honoka tends to take care of his appearance and outward aesthetic, patching him up if there are ever any artificial damages. The two of them are very close.
- Keiji Furukawa (<3); Keiji came into Kaoru's life like a whirlwind and ended up just staying that way. Kaoru isn't sure where along the way it was that he fell in love, but Keiji's place in his heart is entire irreplacable...

- Olympia ??? (...?); She flirts with his mom, and Kaoru doesn't know how to feel about that?
- Misumi Yanagi (acq); They're... similar, in a way. Kaoru would like to speak to her more.

- Kaoru is a robot! He's put together largely like a doll of kinds, and the seams of his body tends to glow a faint blue.
- A black choker circles around Kaoru's neck constantly. It's a permanent fixture: the back is a diagnostics screen.
- Kaoru's hair is usually kept half-up in a high ponytail, with the rest curled around his shoulders.
- Kaoru is about 5'6" in height!
- Kaoru's hands have sensors on them that can be distinguished by being lightly more blue than the rest of his skin should be. They kind of look like cat paws, a little bit...
- His ears are pointed! The insides glow slightly.
