Ignatia is Vaniesa and Rukodyne's daughter, and wants to prove to them and her half-sister Illiandrus that she can be just as strong and just as good of an adventurer as they are. She's always been jealous that they would go off on grand adventures, saving people and doing important things, while she had to stay in Baldur's Gate and hide within the walls of the temple of Ioun her mother had grown up in.

Because of how sheltered she is, she is extremely anxious and doesn't know how to communicate with people well outside of the handful of people she has known her entire life. She is also prone to crying when she gets particularly stressed, or quick bursts of intense anger when her abilities are called into question. Despite her inexperience with the outside world, she has an intense desire to learn and become stronger no matter how difficult it may be.

Ignatia has red hair that is typically kept up in two ponytails to hide her horns when traveling. She has fair skin, with patches of red scales over her body. She also has green eyes with flecks of gold, and large circular glasses. She typically wears a long, sleeveless green dress over a long-sleeved turtleneck in an effort to hide as much skin as possibly. This not only helps hide her scales, but also her tail.

History

Childhood - Age 0-12

She was very sheltered her entire childhood, as her mother knew that people would not be accepting of what she was. She lived part of her life in Amn, and the other, Baldur's Gate. The last while, she's been in Baldur's Gate with Adhoc while her mother was adventuring with her older sister Illiandrus.

While here she did much of what her mother did growing up; she was commonly found reading books, and experimenting with creating devices of a vast variety of purposes. When doing this she discovered she had a knack for tinkering and inventing things and always begged for Adhoc to bring more materials to tinker and create with. Through a lot of practice she was able to channel her innate magical nature through her tools and the objects she created.

It became harder for her to bear her mother and sister's absenses. Although she enjoyed being with Adhoc, with her godmother Sil, with her father Rukodyne, she wanted her mother. She grew jealous that Illiandrus was allowed to travel with her, and that she was not. Was it because she wasn't wanted? Did they think she was too weak? Too stupid? She didn't know the reason, but the possibility of what it may be consumed her thoughts and caused her great heartache and anger.

Finally, she decided she'd had enough. She came to the conclusion that she wasn't satisfied to stay behind any longer. She wanted to prove to her mother and sister that she was strong enough to come along on their adventures. She was tired of always being left behind, safe, but lonely. She ran away in the dead of night without telling Adhoc, bringing with her what she felt was important, but still wholly unprepared for what the city of Baldur's Gate held for her.

Descent into Avernus - Age 12

WIP

Beginning to Heal - Age 13-20

After returning from Avernus, Ignatia was still unsure whether she should completely trust her mother or sister. She still had a lot of hurt that remained despite her mother's apologies, and Illiandrus had yet to say sorry at all.

Other Information

Her bronze scales spread across more of her body the older she gets, as well as her eyes changing from green to gold. Her horns also get larger. These changes make her anxious, as she knows someday she won't be able to hide what she is.

Although she insists she's actually an adult due to her being half dragon, she's still very much a child. Aging faster as a dragon does not actually cancel out aging slower as an elf as much as she refuses to admit it.

She's incredibly stubborn, and once she sets her mind to something, she rarely gives in.
