Profile
Graves works as an undertaker within Baldur's Gate, as it gives her easy access to dead bodies without the suspicion that would otherwise come with them. She enjoys studying dead things, and has had an interest in it from a young age.
A little above average in size for a Kobold, Graves has dark brown scales with hints of yellow throughout, and orange eyes and slitted pupils. She has two long horns on top of her head and many smaller ones going from the sides and back of her head down her back. The clothes she wears were at one point of fine make, but they are very worn now and are fairly tattered. She wears many trinkets all over, from bits of jewelry to small skulls and other odds and ends.
Death was one of the first things Graves had known, and death followed her wherever she walked. Her parents were torn apart in front of her when she was only a few weeks old, gristle and blood and bone, shiny and lovely, and so extremely terrifying; that image has never been able to escape her mind.
She ran, to attempt escaping the carnage. Ran as hard and fast as her tiny limbs would take her. Ran to try and get to only other place she had heard about: a lost city, one so grand that any who had found it never returned, as it was far better than any other place on this world.
She didn't find it, as she had no idea of it's location, having only heard of it in the few stories her parents had passed on from among their kind. Eventually she settled into the forests around One Stone. As she grew older, the memory was still clear, but it morphed into a need to understand death, rather than fear it. Daily ventures out into the burial mound yielded further fascination as she ravaged the grounds, hoping for further understanding. Once she had explored all these grounds and forests that made up her home had to offer, she began traveling to Settlestone in search of more, where she would then steal their dead with the intent to study them.
Years and years passed with little to no incidents, but her luck at remaining undiscovered ran out. Upon discovering what she was doing, she was ran out of the forest by the local village, and was forced to move somewhere else, eventually making her way to Baldur’s Gate. She became the apprentice of an undertaker there, and took over once her master died.
She heard rumors of something strange regarding the dead in the land being unable to rise, and those who had been risen, became dead once again. Naturally, this piqued her interest. She needed to know what could cause this.
- She doesn't do well working with others, and prefers to act alone if at all possible.
- Collecting daggers is a hobby of hers, although she doesn't look for new ones as often as when she was younger.
- She rarely trusts others, believing that people just as likely to stab her in the back as she is to stab them.
