Early Life

Aflie’s father was a respected police captain, his grandfather a retired deputy chief. His mother, head of the PTA, HOA, and countess other braggable jobs. Both his older brothers had gone on to successful positions in their respective fields. It was only natural that ‘Alfred’ would rebel any way he could.

By age ten, he had solidified a name as the school troublemaker, constantly disrespecting his teachers, disrupting class – he was the kid who knew all the naughty words and wasn’t afraid to use them. Needless to say, he was the bane of his father’s existence – the nasty smudge on his prestigious life. He did anything he could to sweep Alfie’s misdoings behind the rug, to steer him into his shadow, but this became more and more difficult as he got older.

The pup became very well known in the police department. As soon as an Afgan hound was described in a situation, Captain White was on the line. On one hand it was a pain, but on the other, Alfie was invincible, with no REAL danger of getting in trouble. After all, there was nothing more heinous than the Captain’s son being arrested, even when he was found was suspicious amounts of the illegal substance, ‘crunch’.

Eventually, his father had had enough of dealing with him, and Alfie was sent to an alternative school out of state. Sure, he was still a troublemaker, but at least now he was receiving the discipline he needed. By the time Alfie returned he was much more relaxed and accepting of his fathers rules and, much to his surprise, willing to follow the family footsteps.

Officer White

Alfie enrolled in the police academy and for the next few years studied to become an officer. He was never particularly disciplined, and wasn’t well liked amongst his peers, but he never did anything bad enough to warrant kicking him out – his relationship with the captain probably helped. Along the way he became close friends with Tarik Davis – another aspiring officer – the two became roommates and later lovers, though their relationship was never particularly serious.

Everything seemed steady for a while – Alfie became a police officer, his father was… content. Until evidence started going missing. When they found out Alfie was connected, a whole pandora’s box of misdemeanours unravelled, including his connection to a city-wide crunch distribution scheme. Needless to day, Alfie was arrested, fired, and broken up with – sent to prison for a year. It would have been longer, if not for his father’s involvement.

He claims to remember prison fondly, particularly participating in the hairdressing rehabilitation programme. Perhaps, for the first time, not being in a situation of pressure from his father.

When he was finally release, Alfie’s father set him up with a cheap apartment then, effectively, disowned him. Denying any relationship, and only spoke to him on the few occasions he did get involved with the police again. Alfie doesn’t mind. He never got into any serious trouble – sure, he was caught with crunch a few times, but rarely had more than a slap on the wrist.

Currently, he uses his experience in prison and works as a hairdresser, and genuinely enjoys it, reconnecting with many old friends (Including Ash, who he still pesters to let him do her hair). Though he had no qualms getting on the wrong side of the law again, should the opportunity arise…
