Sometimes gives himself a timeout to go mess about in the garden and collect his thoughts.
Substratum AU:
Mortimer Wistar is a clone, there are many of him.
They are part of an underground secret cloning plant called the Substratum.
Part of their brain is used as a storage for data for the facility, usually it keeps them connected to a neural net called 'the nexus' that lets them bring up information other clones have gathered and shares their own.
Docile and easy to handle.
The Wistar clones are easily replaceable, simple and their collective consciousness is saved, so you can choose to keep a previous developed personality, or manipulate what he remembers, or just start with a clean slate when you make a new clone.
Very good at following orders, many of the Wistar clones act as helpers or assistants to the scientists.
They are often used for testing medicine and new tech.
The more seasoned ones develop a bit of a personality of their own, often based on traits the various doctors and workers have, usually from listening in to when they talk and watching how they act.
Some doctors think that you shouldnt treat them like people, since they are clones, but others disagree.
Defunct clones get made into material for new clones or vitaminized protein paste, clonefood.
They sleep in shifts, 3 clones share a bedspace but only sleep in it for 7.5 hours at a time, with 30 minutes to get ready and tidy themselves and their shared space up. So there is always one sleeping and two working.
