After retiring he now works part time as JD’s driver. the military gave him a nice slightly early retirement, He likes having something to do and considers John a close family friend.The extra money also comes in handy, he inherited his mother's house when she died, and the big garden is something he enjoys maintaining, but he doesn't get into it as much as his son, keeping the grass at an appropriate length and making sure the deck is well maintained is enough for him.
