It was a mixture of several unfortunate circumstances that led to David's death at 24 years old. A broken family, childhood trauma, untreated mental illness and a severe lack of happy woodland creatures are a handful of these circumstances.
He was quiet and antisocial; but he had a bright imagination.

As the one person that David truly loved and cared for, he had a great relationship with his older brother. Leon idolized his brother while David made it his goal to protect Leon and help him live a better life than he did. David kept him fed and safe while at home, as well as brought him around the town to have fun.
It was with David's help that he was able to leave their small town and open new opportunities for his future. However with him being done, David was left alone and unsure of what to do with himself. He loved Leon more than anyone, though, and he was happy that he was starting a new life elsewhere.
