Personality

nervous wreck. You can tell just what she is feeling, thinking, about to say, just by looking at her. Her expressions are very expressive and she can't hide them, besides hiding behind her large parasol. She can't help but overexert her feelings through her face and actions. She easily cries and gets depressed when bad things happen, or she can be a little TOO happy when a customer or something compliments her tea. Overall, there is no way she could hide anything, so telling her a secret wouldn't be too good. Though, she does warn people when they are about to tell her something important. She believes it's good to let people see a kind side to you more then they should see your faults. (except she fails at trying to hide her faults.) She's extremely finicky, she can't stand to see small things like a crumpled corner or a stray piece of weed coming out of the grass. She values her feminine qualities greatly. Extremely loving clothes, if anything she makes a trip to the tailor and flower shop all the time because those are the many things she loves.

Despite all that, she is a kind, softly speaking girl that always gives a sort of 'pained' smile every now and then. She takes in all the good and values in life but she's always scared for the future. Thus making her the type to always brush off conversations about the future or what she wants to do when she grows up. She feels that her life is almost set for her, so things like that shouldn't be asked. Social-wise; She isn't scared to approach people as long as you look approachable. But as said, she's a nervous wreck, ESPECIALLY with new faces. If it's someone she's seen around before or a regular customer, her nervousness doesn't come out much. Her conversations usually end up with her spouting nonsense, that make her really embarrassed afterwards. She's the worst person to ask when it comes to decisions that don't relate to tea, especially under stress; she often runs away in tears screaming out apologies. She's also the type that doesn't like to get to close to someone. Friendship is all she stops at. She doesn't go farther then that because she's scared of what might happen in the future. Scared of losing someone. She's not exactly the smartest girl you would know but she manages.

History

Annamarie grew up not knowing much about her parents. Her birth was an accident, something that just wasn't suppose to happen. Or so, as her grandmother told her, 'they couldn't handle a child' She always tried to sugarcoat what happened to her. But Annamarie knew what happened, despite playing that innocent unaware role of hers. Her father had left them when she was 5 and it was just her and her mom. Despite being young at the time she could tell that the story of her parents weren't like any other normal children. She stayed with her mom, and honestly she was the one that usually had to be taking care of her rather then vice-versa. She never actually talked to her mom much, and she didn't exactly ask her anything either. It was just silent. That was her life up until she was 10 or so, her mother finally found someone who could support her. A charming man who would do anything for her mom. Anna knew that the cause of her 'parents' split was because of her birth, and honestly, she wanted to give her mom a fresh new start. The two weren't close anyways. Her mother thought the same, because on the day she introduced her newly beloved, she also told her own daughter she was going to leave her, with her grandma. That was that.

In all honesty, Annamarie hated her for that. She actually wished she'd rather not have been born then to be thrown off to someone else. Even if it was her birth that was the fault of this, she didn't think her mom would toss her off so easily. This is probably why she doesn't like it when people get to close, because she thinks in the end the affection she feels for the person will just wilt. Despite being kicked out of her own home, Luckily she was thrown off to someone in her family. Her grandparents home. They lived in a very very very beautiful village called La Della Rossa. It was a beautiful town, and Annamarie loved it from the moment she stepped out of her transportation. The story's and everything about the past of the pretty town was all to amazing to learn about. Much better then where she came from. Her grandparents owned a tea house where they proudly served their customers to the fullest. Her grandma was really kind to her. More then what her so-called 'parents' could of been towards her. She was given a place to stay, eat, and sleep. That was more then enough. Besides, her grandmother was lonely as well. Her husband dying several years back. Leaving her to live in the home by herself. So they both understood one another. To be abandoned with no one to lean on. They were really close because of that. Still. A parent is a parent. She still wanted the feeling of two figures by her side like a normal child.

Her grandmother loved telling her fairy tales and Anna sort of got the idea that she wanted to be a princess that would be whisked away. Her grandmother always responded with 'the only person whisking her away is going to be herself. To be whisked away to her homework' along with a smack on the head with a cooking pan. That was sort of their relationship, drinking tea, serving customers, smiles everywhere. She loved her great grandmother, but alas. She was old and her age and health issues had gotten to her. But her grandmother had hidden that from Anna. She didn't want her to worry and to live a fun filled life in the town. But Anna could tell her grandmothers health was withering, she was around 18 that time. Then that was the first time in several years that she actually met her parents once again.

Of course her parents were more...wiser, and a bit more welcoming towards their 'daughters' presence. (or so they act like). It made her sad to see that the two had gotten back together yet, they still acted as if their daughter they made wasn't there. They showed up once her grandma was bed ridden. Were they that shallow? She thought while staring at them through the matching eyes they all bore. They looked and treated her as if some disease was in front of them. As if it was her fault that her grandma became like this. She didn't want to give them any reason to speak to her, so she tried to hide her emotions from them. The feeling of sadness, loneliness, anger, everything. That was when she decided to use her parasol to hide away her feelings. It was an heirloom her grandmother gave her, because of how easily she burned in the sun. She passed it to her to keep and Annamarie loves it dearly. Even if it was not the weather for an umbrella or anything, she used that as some sort of enclosed bubble. It helps hides her face which easily gives away her feelings. To keep away stress, anger, and emotions that fly from her face so easily. The week they stayed with her and grandma was probably the worst week of her life.

While she lived her short little life with her parents. They seemed to be assuming a lot of things towards her. Thinking that she was troubling too much, or asking for too much or being a bad child. Even though the only thing she did was bring in fresh flowers and take care of the shop. But that was their way of saying they didn't want to take care of her anymore. What a great life that was. Either way she didn't bother with it. Just giving them a sparkling smile with a "Sorry mom and dad! Won't happen next time". even though the pain was obvious. That week, her grandmother died and the Teahouse was her responsibility. Her mother was suppose to be the next in line to take over the Teahouse, but as horrible as she was, she passed to to Annamarie. Telling her that she'd be more beneficial, saying that 'take care of it for me, for now Anna. Like you've always been. You always take care of things'. That was the last time she saw them. Two years passed, and she is now 20. She's VERY serious about her job at the Teahouse and enjoys giving smiles on everyone's face. Even if she's young, she wants to do her grandma proud. And also 'take care' of the Teahouse for her mother; it's just for now right? right... The thing is, it was hard for her to even trust anyone anymore, but despite that, she is living her life to the fullest and her grandmother is always on her mind.
