A small girl with a heart of gold, always ready to help others in need - even if that means putting her health aside; that is Fiyu Chimo, the Ultimate Chimney Sweeper. Thanks to her small, and yet nimble body, no soot or dirt can hide from her in the chimneys. Those who have requested her services often described her as sweet, positive, innocent and pure - but also hard working. Her origins are rather vague to whoever hired her, only knowing that she deeply cares for her ‘siblings and mother’.

Appearance

Standing at low 4’2’’, Fiyu Chimo is quite a good example of how children looked in Victorian Era of Britain: short, thin as a stick, her hair short and messy(Earning her a nickname of ‘Mophead’ among her older siblings)and covered in so much soot and dirt that it is impossible to determine what her genetic hair colour is.

Like stated above, Fiyu is short and thin due to her being malnutritioned, but also because she often moved around, causing her to lose much more weight than she could gain back, causing her to quickly become underweight to the point that if she wouldn’t wear anything on her, the outline of her bones would be visible through her skin - along with any untreated and messy injuries she got while working. The face is nearly always covered by dirt, soot, ash and other filth that you could find in chimneys. In consequence of her line of work, her hands are rather tough and rough, sometimes hardly bearable to hold.

Fiyu’s outfit is also similar to the one of a Victorian Era - a simple bandana on her neck, a sleeveless jacket with two pockets and roughed up on the edges, too big for her trousers and a shirt; she didn’t even have shoes, as instead, she wore very dirtied, woollen socks. Every bit of her clothing was covered in sediments as there was simply no means of washing them in anything other than water from a tap, causing the excess dirt to fall off her as she would move around. Crumpled and torn in places, the clothes she owned were too big for her petite silhouette. Adding to her attire, she also wore a worn-out, leather bag that she found in the trash somewhere, where she stored such small trinkets as her plush owl, random stones, flowers and whatever else she’d find outside.

Personality

There’s no one as positive and innocent as Fiyu; due to her upbringing - but despite of the circumstances - she kept her happy and hopeful personality throughout the years she spent with her family who taught her the importance of having a positive outlook, common manners and helping those in need, whoever or whatever they might have done.

Due to being the youngest one out of her siblings, she was often helped if anything came up that she wasn’t able to do - from grabbing something from a higher shelf to defending her from sudden and unnecessary mean comments that targeted her to simply spending their time with her. This caused Fiyu to become quite dependent on those surrounding her, often finding herself unable to do simple things alone.

Despite that, she still tries her hardest to slowly break out of that shell, sometimes causing her more negatives than positives with dropping something on herself or falling from counters; despite her small body, she has a lot of courage and determination to change herself for better - and even more determination to help those in need.

Because of how she was brought up, she was sheltered as much as they could from the cruelty that was the outside world. This is why Fiyu often looks at the world through pink lenses - always seeing good in everyone and disregarding their bad traits, as she believes everyone deserves a second chance… Or a third one… Regardless, due to not knowing much of the real outside world outside what she heard from the people that wanted her to clean their chimneys and from what she witnessed while going to and from her jobs - she’s pretty clueless about the harsh reality; although she witnessed some of the harshness for herself after becoming an Ultimate.

Due in part of her home and how much money they had, her wider knowledge is lacking. She can still do simple maths like adding and subtracting - sometimes even multiplying and dividing if you give her enough time - but ask her about the area of a prism or an equation of the line and all you gonna get will be confused look and a question of ‘What’s that?’. Her vocabulary is also lacking, causing her to become lost if someone starts to talk in a sophisticated manner or starts using overly long and complicated words.

But the fact that she’s quite uneducated has its good side - she’s very curious and eager to learn new things, never losing her will to learn new things(even if she didn’t know that the things people could potentially teach her weren’t necessarily good). She’s also ignorant in the matter of death. For some reason her siblings and mother decided to hide from her what death is, which would often cause her to go around and poke dead birds and other small animals with a stick that were on the floor near her home, hoping that they would play with her. Every time that her family would witness what she was doing, they would bring her inside and lie to her that the animal she was poking was asleep; she believed them every time.

Creation Origins

As with majority of my OCs, she was one of the OCs I doodled, though instead of Maths I doodled her on English. We were covering a poem called 'London', where there was a line about chimney sweepers, and I guess that's why I drew her as one? From the get-go I knew I wanted her to be pure and innocent, a white flower soon to be tainted with the cruelty of the outside world. Her concept more or less stayed the same, though over time I started adding other characters and taking them out - such as Tylor and his twin sister. However, Fiyu always stayed as herself,

Roleplay Experiences

Rimworld Project 2: Beachfront Bloodbath

Being the first rp she was applied to, she got surrounded by both good and bad influences, as who she called brother and boyfriend were toxic to her. She learnt what death was around Chapter 2, only to fall into despair in Chapter 3 when her brother died, and then her boyfriend died the next chapter. Due to it, she had a 'knife stabbing' phase until she was knocked back to her senses by her remaining family - that then proceeded to die on her too. At the end, when she survived to the mastemrind trial, it turned out that her last big brother was the mastermind, shattering her utterly. She did not have a good time there.

Chouko Genji

Her mother figure! A kind lady that always made sure to play with her whenever she wanted. Though, with time, Fiyu started seeing her less and less due to her needing to make money. That's why she also decided to make money, so that her family could be together once again and have fun! Even if her working was basically illegal in any other part of the world but hey! It's the thought that counts right-

Ayano Haruki

Fiyu's older sister! She loved all of her siblings the same, but she grew the closest to Ayano. After all, she was the one that showed her the park! And the toy store! And showed her the birds, the cats and frogs! And who walked with her in order to raise money to help their mother! She loves her very much, and hopes that she'll be able to see her soon. She wants to play with her and her other siblings again!

Asōgi 'Asoseki' Seki

Her knight in shining armour! He saved her from older girls bullying her, and since that day she always cling to him. Despite his cold demenour at first, the two of them grew close and Fiyu enjoyed every moment she got to spent with him and his friends; and his cat, of course!!

• Her hair is actually white, however due to no proper access to water, the soot and ash makes it seem like it's black/grey;
