Veezyon is the second clone in his bloodline, and the last. Vee's first mission was right into a warzone where a starfleet medical vessel had crashed due to extreme planetary conditions. The dominion ship wasn't prepared either, and crashed as well. Vee was the only vorta on board, accompanied by a unit of Jem'Hadar warriors, most of which were killed in the crash. Vee was badly injured and some medics from the starfleet ship saved him, even though he was there as their enemy.

Veezyon was declared unfit for active duty and was instead put in the labs to raise the Jem'Hadar born from test tubes. Vee was always a sensitive soul and forming bonds with children that were inevitably sent to die took a toll on him.

He rebeled against his genetic programming to worship the Founders and decided to defect to starfleet. He took a newborn Jem'Hadar, one that would have been deemed unfit to raise because of a lab accident when he was an embryo that left him with 'undesirable' traits. He stole a ship and escaped to Federation space where he and the baby were granted asylum.

He joined starfleet because he wanted to help fight his former oppressors and to prove he was trustworthy to the Federation because he needed that safety to protect and raise Yenu'veso.
