He/They - Demonic Conman - Bi

Paradox is unique amongst demons for many reasons; preferring to live on earth and blend in centuries before the dust settled between angels and demons. He had a good reason too; he’d stolen the powers of a higher up demon and invoked their wraith upon him. Before it even took place, he was a fairly low ranking demon with no powers to speak of until with his wits he stole them for himself. As soon as the other demon noticed, he was relentlessly chased in hell by them and their wrath. He decided to flee to the surface where the demon couldn’t find him, and he started to blend into the surroundings. 

Using his newfound illusionary powers he created a home for himself in the shape of a traveling circus, which conviently hid itself to any demons and angels besides himself. Through these illusions, Paradox created a carnival in which many of the games were rigged as none of it was truly real; even the acrobats and animals were elaborate illusions. For many years Paradox lived without the company of his fellow demons, becoming accustomed to mortals in which he grew fond of. Paradox recalls he once fell in love with one once, but they would pass long before he did. Even as peace treaties were being signed by demonic forces and the angelic bureaucracy, Paradox simply had no idea as he was comfortably hiding and mingling amongst mortals. Paradox found that collecting money was a great pastime as he and his carnival of illusions traveled around. He became charismatic and charming, as he liked to see how mortals reacted. From his mannerisms alone, it wasn’t obvious he was a demon. However, in the modern day things started to get a little strange...

Slowly, over time demon and angels alike started to socialize on earth more and they were quite friendly with each other in which it freaked Paradox out as his disguise would no longer work and the fact that demons and angels seemed to have no tension between each other. Unbeknownst to him, all of the issues between them were resolved and since Paradox didn’t live in hell anymore he was late to see the news. Even more so, the residents seemed to know that the visitors were angels and demons and didn’t seem to care. Furthermore, one day the angelic bureaucracy just dropped off a very high ranking and therefore very dangerous angel on his doorstep one day and told him to basically help them with emotions and teach them about life and as he’d been living on earth longer than most he would be the perfect fit. Of course, this really freaked him out as he was told this particular angel was a former living weapon as well. However much to Paradox’s surprise they were skittish and easily pressured into doing things in which Paradox took advantage of. Gradually, it became a partnership as Paradox taught Entropy what he could and in return they were companions in very strange situations. As of the present, they both are a menace to the town they reside in with Paradox scheming and Entropy going along with it.

As of currently, Paradox has been trying to run a scam business and is very much not succeeding as he is unfamiliar with taxes. Together, he and Entropy live in a abandoned house as they both scheme. While he wouldn’t admit it, Entropy is kinda his best friend now. It’s also really obvious now that Paradox and Entropy are clearly not mortal, but the town doesn’t seem to care. Still, Paradox is only really comfortable with Entropy and the mortals he visits as it’s kinda awkward seeing someone in the first time in centuries...
