Levi’s face lit up when he saw the little snowman in the snow glove. He examined it fully in awe before saying, “thank you so much! Yeah, I-I love it!” He shook it for a few minutes and then re-gathered himself, snapping back to reality. “Woah. I’m gonna keep this forever!” He loosened his grip on the snow globe unknowingly in excitement and nearly dropped the thing, feeling it slightly move in its hand. “That would’ve been a disaster,” he laughed to himself, “that’s a good sign I should just.. not hold this anymore..”

Levi perked up when he saw you, realizing it was now his turn to give a gift. “Uh.. I didn’t have a ton of time to wrap it, if it could even be wrapped,” he exhaled a little through his nose as a sort of laugh and half-smiled, “but still, I hope you like it!” He grabbed the present and put it behind his back. He didn’t realize that he was holding it right out in the open beforehand, but he was really trying for it to be a surprise. “Here you go!” He held out a small blue, purple, yellow, and red beaded bracelet. The colors seemed to match but not quite. It was neatly made you could tell, though. “I used a few colors hoping that at least one of them would be your favorite color. That and I was running out of a lot of colors of beads.” He unclasped it and handed it to you gently, looking for signs of approval from you. “I could.. help you put it on, too, if you need!” he smiled.

Levi strolled along the grassy, unkept sidewalks. He noticed just how much weeds and dirt were strewn along. “How many people take care of this place?” He wondered to himself. “Does no one.. care that this beautiful city has some nasty spots where everyone in the middle of town hangs out?” At this point, he was tempted to keep the city he lives tidy all by himself. Shoving off those unimportant thoughts, he sniffed the air, picking up some extraordinary scents. He remembered that there was a coffee place up ahead to the left, always dragging out fragrances for blocks. Rattling the change in his pocket, he decided he had enough to buy a hot chocolate. It was nearly 80 degrees outside but he didn’t mind being a little warmer.

When he arrived to the establishment, he walked in line and glanced at the menu. He looked around, noticing another person, a white feline to be exact, lining up behind him, too. He smiled and shuffled a bit farther forward to give the person behind a little room. When it came to him to order, he awkwardly looked back at the menu even though he knew exactly what he wanted. “Yeah can I get a hot chocolate, please? With a water, too, please.” He smiled and shifted his hands in his pockets. Before the cashier asked him to pay, he thought about how good of a day he was having. “You know what? Can I pay for the person behind me?” He said quietly, trying not to cause too much attention. The cashier nodded and Levi gave him the cash. “Thank you! Have a nice day” he looked at the cashier and then the cat.

Levi sat down and sipped his hot chocolate, watching everyone order. He smiled to himself thinking, “I hope their day goes well”.

He laughed nervously. “Yeah, I can sew a little bit... Assuming high school classes and sewing a patch in a hoodie counts! Definitely not as good as some people are though.”
