    >> clever > the mind is a cat's most useful weapon aside from their claws. featherpaw is quick to understand what's said to him, and if given a problem, he will be just as quick to think out a solution. a good amount of the tom's pride lies in his ability to use his head.
    >> reassuring > picked up from his mother, featherpaw has a habit of calming others. if they're stressed about something, he'll tell them that it they'll feel better in time, and he'll try to rationalize their fears. every cat has to struggle at some point — but everyone can get out of it too.

    >> lazy > partially paired with his pacifism, he is slower to interact in physical combat. hunting isn't as taxing a task in comparison so his preference to hunt over fight is very apparent. however, words are easiest to deal with, and featherpaw prefers to stay away from any form bodily action.

    featherkit was born into a happy family. two overjoyed parents and three older siblings, plus a littermate? what more could this tom-kit ask for? sadly, the state of the clans was rather hectic by the time him and fawnkit were born... war all across the territories was an early eye-opener to the two of just what kind of world they'd been brought into.
   hardly a moon old, featherkit and his sister were faced with the news that an emberclan warrior had taken their father's life. a code-breaker — how could this kit ever forget such a traumatizing experience so young? already he was brewing in hatred for the other clans, wondering if they would break the code in such a horrible way too. for a while, he didn't say much to anyone.
   before being able to do anything in the war, it was soon ending. he carries the grief of his father's death every moon as if it happened just the day before, even if he won't admit it aloud.

apprenticeship [ 6 - 12 moons ] >
   now donning his new name, featherpaw, he was assigned whitetalon as his mentor. right away, he has a particular distaste for the tom. duties being assigned what felt like relentlessly to the young tom... so much moving around was boring and gross! why did he have to walk so far to hunt, or to find a nice area for battle training? any chance of free time handed to featherpaw, he'll take in great gusto — very similar to how he eats as well. his constant lazy lounging and eating when not training has gained him some weight, gaining him a chubbier appearance.
