Basics
Takane is one of four children born in the Yamasaki family, and the older twin sister to Taishou. They're a family that lives within the town of Yoria, and make a living as blacksmiths. And it would seem that Takane is quite content with this outcome.
Takane is one that seems to have drive and motivation, but really no plans for her future. It may be that she intends to carry on her family legacy of being blacksmiths, quite enjoying the forging process! She's a bit of a homebody, to be quite honest. Like her little brother, she can also be private- but ten times more than he is. She absolutely hates giving up information on herself.
It's unfortunate to say, but she's a bit of what you would call "a tsundere," meaning she starts off quite cold and aloof, and gradually has to warm up to you. Often times, after much shoving off. It's just tough for her to admit her real feelings, getting shy very easily.
Takane has low set pigtails that are very loose and long. Her straight edged bangs come close to her eyes, and she has a smaller bust. She's very thin and lanky, and usually scowling or otherwise having a very serious face.
Takane is right handed.

Takane is well versed in many different weapons, seeing as she's been making them her whole life! You put any matter of bladed weapon in her hands and she can use it well. However, she's never actually been in battle or really spar, so her battle senses are weak.

About
Takane is born in the Yamasaki family, a well known blacksmith clan in Yoria. She's the first born child, of only a few minutes- she's an older twin. She finds that she prefers to forge blades, rather than repair them.
Despite Takane's icy personality, it's clear she really loves her family. She's often seen with at least one other sibling, and even walks her younger sister and brother to school often. The girl also enjoys the work she does in the blacksmith shop, it's clear it gives her a sense of pride knowing she has these skills.
The topic she never brings up is the fact that she toes the line of romantic feelings for her friend, Emi. They're friends from school, growing up at the same time in Yoria. It's her romantic feelings for Emi that seems to muddle things for Takane, being scared to admit she has them- and thus, getting upset or frustrated easily. She hates when people even joke that she has a thing for Emi.
With all this in mind, she's living a very peaceful, cheerful life!

Taishou Yamasaki
[ younger twin brother ]
Taishou is her younger twin brother, and the two are definitely close! However, they definitely don't share all their secrets, having very noticeable differences between the two. Takane knows that Taishou is trying his best to help her out of her shell, but she's just not ready yet. Because of this, they're often seen apart, acknowledging that they may be twins, but live separate lives.
Chika Yamasaki [ younger sister ]
Chika is her younger sister, and has a personality akin to Taishou, making the girl easy enough to talk to. Takane is a bit off put that Chika is such a cute, cheerful girl- a stark contrast to herself. It means sometimes Takane shrinks away, but it doesn't mean she's iced Chika out. She'll often talk to Chika about things, usually preferring to hear about Chika rather than talking about herself.
Naru Yamasaki [ younger brother ]
Naru is the baby of the Yamasaki family, and it definitely shows. Takane gets upset quick at Naru, thinking he needs to step up to the image the rest of the family upholds. Sometimes, he gives her secondhand embarrassment. Still, that's her baby brother, and she's quick to get upset when others get upset at him- she knows that's hypocritical, but that's her little brother!!
Emi Asai [ friend, love interest ]
Emi is the total opposite of Takane, cheerful, warm and personable. Emi got astoundingly lucky though, that they went to school together and thus grew up together. Takane lets Emi lead the way, charmed that the girl has so many ideas of how to spend their days. Takane does speak a lot more when she's with Emi, though her mannerisms are still quiet and polite. This is probably also due to Takane starting to wonder if her feelings towards Emi are no longer just platonic- and they really aren't. She's definitely falling for her best friend.
Andrei Lanazo [ friend, brother's boyfriend ]
Takane is not one to stick her nose in others' business, but when it's her sibling's business, she's getting nosy. Thus, she's pleasantly surprised when she gets to meet Andrei! He's got the perfect personality to keep up with Taishou, and he's a pretty social boy who seems to genuinely love Taishou and all around a good person. Takane isn't good at talking, but it's clear she doesn't mind him coming around; after all, she's not glaring at him! She'll occasionally talk with him, mostly small talk when he's waiting on Taishou to come meet him in the shop.
