Design Terms of Use

This character is my own design based upon a general universe or setting which I do not own or partially own (for example, a D&D setting may have different geography, politics, and world dynamics, but it may use D&D content such a spells or planes in an incredibly similar manner). Unless otherwise mentioned, this character will never be gifted, traded, or transferred out of my possession.

In terms of interacting with this character, using this character in content, or basing a design off of this character, my policies are as follows:

  • As I do not own the universe which the character comes from, I have no right to restrict others from creating a similar design. However, I would ask that any design based on the design of this character capture its own identity and not merely be a carbon copy or shade off the character in both their visual and personal composition. Obviously, I cannot perfectly monitor this, and coincidences certainly happen--but please be respectful to fellow artists, writers, and content creators.
  • If you are interested in featuring this character in some kind of content (e.g. a story or art piece), please ask before use. Also, please credit me for the character's design. To expedite the conversation should there be an interest, I am generally okay with the use of my characters when:
    • ... the characters appear in a SFW situation. (I do not permit my characters to appear in NSFW content, barring the potential exceptions mentioned below.)
    • ... the characters act roughly in line with their characterization or the content do not have a strong sense of characterization beyond their presentation in the medium.
    • ... the characters engage in mild to moderate non-sexual violence without the explicit appearance of gore. (Mild may be acceptable; it's ultimately going to depend, and this is definitely a situation when I should be asked.)
  • If you are interested in roleplaying with this character, my guidelines for what I will roleplay are in line with my guidelines above for featuring the character in content. Generally, it's easiest if the characters can be made to come from a similar world (e.g. different regions or continents or planes in a D&D setting); I don't tend to like to break or bend reality very much to make an RP work. Feel free to reach out to me to see if we might be able to get some kind of story spinning!
