If you own a design by me you are free to:

Trade/Resell (yes even if the design was free)

Develop the character however you want

Redesign however you want

Make minor changes to the orignal art 

Make the design part of a closed species

Void the design from a closed species

Make AU designs for the character

Make visually similar family members for the character 

Use your art of the design for commercial use

If you own a design by me please do not:

Make a closed species based off the design and sell "MYOs" of my concept

Use my art of the design for commercial use

Note that if the design is part of a closed species, the species’ TOS will take priority
