Kuma's Comments

I am, so sorry I completely forgot to respond to this. Life's been a little hectic for me recently ^^;;
Alas Kuma's story's a whole mess- and mostly retained in the brains of me and one of my close friends because we are notoriously terrible at actually writing anything down, but I can try to give you a brief summary!

TLDR it starts in a world where cryptids and humans kinda just live together. There's quite a bit of tension between humans and any species they deem dangerous- and that's where Kuma comes in. He's in a pack/gang of werewolves that get in fairly violent fights with a local human mafia. Kuma's the lieutenant (#2) of his pack, and one day he gets caught by the human gang. The leader of the humans is a man named Kazuki who can somehow keep up with and win against werewolves on his own in a fight, total badass type- but prefers to avoid violence if he can. This is in contrast to the wolves' side of things, where the leadership isn't exactly friendly (the big ol scar on Kuma's face is from his #1). Kuma's kept there, because Kazuki refuses to use violence to get him to talk, and eventually, after several ups and downs, they grow closer.

Kuma eventually challenges Kazuki to a fight, which, he's sure he's gonna win but nope! He loses. And Kazuki didn't have to hurt him either. Kuma, a man who by all means loves fights, and has a stubborn personality, also holds huge respect from anyone who can beat him, so he quits being such a pain to deal with. He does continue to stay loyal to the wolves though. Respect turns into something else and then oops both of them catch feelings. Kaz is still tense because of, y'know, dangerous werewolf around, something something internalized bias, meanwhile Kuma has started to realize that the wolf side isn't as good as he thought it was. Kazuki eventually lets Kuma around his little brother, being the sole caretaker for said brother ever since their parents were killed by you guessed it, a werewolf. One loud noise Kaz wasn't expecting later, and Kuma realizes how little Kaz actually trusts him (Kaz was ready to kill Kuma no questions asked to protect his brother), and it hurts Kuma's feelings, but he's smart enough to use it to his advantage.

Kaz tries to apologize but Kuma shrugs it off, and uses the leniency he's been given to escape after months of being Kazuki's prisoner. Kuma goes straight back to the wolves, still loyal to them, but pleads with his leader to talk things out with Kazuki. Turns out it's Kuma's leader who had killed Kazuki's parents, and the violent cycle has been going on for awhile. Kazuki at this point has caught up, and after eavesdropping on the conversation, realizes Kuma hasn't betrayed him. Kazuki interrupts things before Kuma's #1 adds another big ol scar to Kuma's face, and sides with Kuma, offering to end the violence between his mafia and the wolfpack. #1 does not like this idea and tries to kill Kazuki, Kuma steps in and helps him take down #1. Kuma gets appointed #1, then they're finally able to work things out between gangs, and of course eventually get together.

Other fun world notes include: A weretiger tattoo artist who is over having to treat Kazuki's #2 after he gets in fights with werewolves, aforementioned #2 absolutely in love with the tattoo artist he ticks off, and an angsty teenager werewolf friend of Kuma's we call Snowflake for short. We've also made at least 5 AUs with Kuma/Kazuki and they only get progressively more angsty. There are many details I left out for simplicity reasons, but it's by far our most developed world- and we love these two morons so much. ^^;
