A reserved, quiet earth pony who constantly seems tired. He never takes off his beanie and is often the butt of several jokes about him "hiding something." They may not be entirely wrong.

Sunny Side is the oldest of 6 foals. His family grew up extremely poor and were outcast from society for being Luminous; a subspecies of ponies who have an inability to use the magic that they're innately born with. When Sunny Side turned 17, he decided to risk it all and leave his family's small slum to move to Equestria.

Sunny Side, despite not having a true Cutie Mark, has a remarkable skill in sewing and tailoring. His parents believed he wasn't meant to be Luminous because of this, and were always supportive of his tailoring endeavors. So, when he moved to Equestria, it only made sense for him to start a small tailor's shop in the cheapest, dirtiest, shittiest building in all of Vanhoover.

Business was slow, but eventually word got around the city that there was a new tailor in town with a fresh eye for fashion and an expert hoof. His business slowly began to pick up speed and soon enough, he was able to afford a studio in Manehattan. He set up shop there and the rest is history.
