Laena

Much of Laena's past is still unknown to her, though she knows enough after the events on High Isle - she was born to Ciinae Camoran, sister of King Camoran Aeradan, and was sent to live with a Khajiiti woman named Ahzivani and her three sons before her mother was killed by the Blacksap Rebellion. After that, things once again become fuzzy, though her memories pick up once more when she awoke in an old bandit safehouse on Auridon, left alone with only a note. After spending two weeks within the confines of the safehouse, relearning as much as she could to survive - about magic, combat, the current era and the like - she left to hunt down whoever had left the note.

Instead, she was met by a hooded figure, one who spoke of a benefactor who wished to speak to Laena and the fate of the world being at stake. Holding out hope that this had something to do with her amnesia, she didn't question it when she went off to find the benefactor on a nearby docked ship.

She was met with a bound Redguard before being knocked unconscious.

When Laena awoke, she was bound in chains alongside other captured individuals. The group were dragged down into the depths of what Laena could only assume was a temple, and she watched in horror as the group began to be sacrificed. The Altmer who was doing it, pale and ancient, didn't even seem to flinch as he ripped their souls out with a Soul Gem. Laena was weak, but she still tried to fight, biting at anyone who got close, but it wasn't enough.

The blade met her heart in the end, and she was transported away - only to awaken some time later in a land that smelled of sulfur.

She wasn't alone for long, though, as she was found by Lyris Titanborn and followed the tall Nord out of her cell, before being confronted by the Prophet, who Lyris apparently knew. The two went to try and find him, but Lyris had to trade places in his prison in order to free him.

It was then that he spoke a bit of what Laena had become - the Vestige, supposedly shown to the Prophet in the Elder Scrolls themselves. Still too shaken to fully comprehend what the Prophet was saying, Laena simply helped him take down one of Molag Bal's daedra before the two were finally able to escape Coldharbour.

Laena appeared back on Tamriel right over the waters beside Khenarthi's Roost, falling into the sea and losing consciousness as she hit the water... only to be brought back to dry land by a strange Khajiit.

When Laena awoke again, the Prophet came to her as a projection, informing her that she had been brought to Eagle's Strand in Khenarthi's Roost by a Khajiiti man, while he had been brought to a land of eternal spring - a land that Laena was almost certain was Auridon. Laena was told to simply help with the growing issues on Khenarthi's Roost and find a way off the island, and then the Prophet left her once more.

So, Laena left the crumbling tower that had been her sanctuary for who knew how long, being met by the Khajiit that had pulled her out of the sea - Razum-dar, a odd individual who became the first to know of Laena escaping Coldharbour, but not of her death. She couldn't lie to Raz about where she had come from - he had dragged her out of the ocean, after all - but she could keep her death to herself until she was ready to reveal that much. Raz... did not reveal much about himself, but he did decide that Laena was perfect to help him with the problems on Khenarthi's Roost. A hurricane had struck the island and had destroyed a Dominion fleet, and two places were in desperate need of extra hands, which Laena could provide. So, once she was given Dominion armor to fit in as one of their soldiers, and once Raz had given her a bit of gold to get herself a horse from a nearby farm, Laena was off - she purchased a draft mare named Torrin and made her way around Khenarthi, doing her best to help settle some of the issues and collect information about the Maormer that she suspected Raz would've wanted.

When she made her way to Mistral with information surrounding the origin of the hurricane, she seemed to be right on time. The leader of the city, alongside the Bosmer's 'Silvenar' and a Maormeri Diplomat, were discussing the terms of Khenarthi's Roost joining the Dominion, which the Maormer were aggressively opposed to. Raz wished for Laena, a new face who had no strong connection to the Dominion, to find out more to ensure that Khenarthi's Roost would be able to join the Dominion.
