Born in the small town of Wimborne, Hawthorne was raised to expect nothing less than lavish. From a young age, she was spoiled rotten by her parents, the young girl and her sister always walking into school wearing nothing but the hottest fashions on the market. Having the most popular clothes and items was something her parents always made sure the two girls had, hoping that keeping them trendy would save them from any bullies who may tease them- after all, growing up in a wealthier area meant that one must wear their status as well as act it. Such circumstances were unfortunate, the girls and boys alike at their private school made sure such ideals were status quo- harassing any student who seemed to have less wealth than they did. Secretly, it pained Hawthorne to see the less wealthy of the student body be treated so terribly, so she always tried her best to show kindness to everyone, no matter their social standing, despite her peers' and parents' visible distaste in such behavior.

Despite the harshness of their social environment, Hawthorne and her sister made it out alive, graduating with high honors and moving on to brighter and better futures. Her sister moved across the country, marrying her high school sweetheart and starting a family quickly, while Hawthorne decided to pursue higher education in the field of Business and Economics. She studied for two years at a local university before transferring to Acadia University in semi-rural Firefly Valley, falling in love with the small-town feel and friendly faces. It was quite a culture shock to the young lady, her new friends not caring for the trendy things or worrying about being harassed for their income, and it was quite difficult for her to get accustomed to. Even at present, she tends to overspend on her friends, worried that they might be attacked for their lack of wealth- but is always reminded that character trumps bank statements.
