Profile

Lanvi

One of the three sages of the planet, Lanvi is the sage tied to the land which life walks on. She is intrinsically tied to all things that bloom from the earth and represent the forces of nature itself.

Representation of: Land, Nature

Date Celebrated: May 6th

Species: Ethereal

Height: 4'8" (146cm)

Weight: 74lbs (34kg)

Pronoun: She/Her

Muse: Land Lock

Associated Element: Nature

First Appearance: Ragazza Volpe Magica Ch. 53

A bubbly sage that always tries to look for the positives and is always grateful to anyone who walks on the land. She can get very skittish or even downright terrified when dealing with people or situations that were difficult in the past, almost as if being scarred by the experience, despite being an immortal. In that sense it can be said that she is slow to adapt to change and moves at her own pace.

Feelings Towards Humanity

She's impressed by the leaps and bounds humanity has made in such a small amount of time. Constantly impressed by the marvels of modern civilization, she loves humanity like a mother loves her children. Like a mother though, she doesn't want to let go of her children and dreads the day they finally leave earth for brighter frontiers. She only can hope that when that next step comes that they fondly remember the place they once called home.

Relationships with the other Sages

Seres - Lanvi is a patient creature, but even so, Seres still can find new and exciting ways to get on her nerves. She's never snapped at him, but he insists there are timelines where he managed to break her calm demeanor. She usually asks him to leave at that point.

Sahji -Poor Lanvi is usually the first one to get conscripted for whatever scheme Sahji has in store for the other six sages. She will agree to the whimsy of the wish sage, but in her heart she dreads what is in store for her.

Kitori - Land being the primary motivator behind conflict, and by proxy the winner of those conflicts, the victory sage genuinely likes Lanvi. The same couldn't be said for the land sage. She's uncomfortable around him and tries to avoid being alone with him. She's seen too much blood soak into the lands she watches to enjoy his presence.

Luca - Life and land go hand in hand. Luca brings such diverse and interesting life to the lands she watches, and in turn she provides a place for life to live. They're both generally very cheery, so their conversations tend to go well when they get a chance to meet.

Marovo - Land falls into sea, eroding away the land. They have a bit of an awkward relationship. Neither sage wants to talk to each other. Sahji likes to think they were a thing at one point, but both of them remain quiet about it. The Land and Sea hold many mysteries it seems.

Cielto - The sky sage is over-protective of his fellow sages. He considers himself the first line of defense of their planet. Lanvi thinks Cielto works too hard and tries to get him to relax, almost like a mother caring for her son.

How do they treat their muse:
Lanvi hates to see the land dry up and wither. For that she's happy to use her muse to revitalize the lands under her watch. Though recently she's become a bit more tight gripped on her muse. She doesn't want to always be the answer when things go awry.

Their muse is a gun-shaped object known as the “Land Lock” this bulletless gun has the ability to return life to a disrupted system. This cannot grant life to that which has never lived, but returns the state of a living thing to its healthiest state. A minor example would be reversing frostbite from an afflicted limb. Or an extreme example is creating a field of lush grass from where drought has afflicted the land. As far as the usage of the Land Lock is concerned any part of a natural planet is “living”

The Land Festival

The final day and the day to give thanks to the planet that bears the burden of life. It's custom for a family to plant a new tree. Back in ancient times, this would be a seed specifically nurtured throughout the year by the family and finally planted during the festival. Nowadays its acceptable to adopt a seedling from a nursery in preparation for the Land Festival.
