Doesn't really understand her, and doesn't care to learn what she's like. Only after she proves helpful in solving problems and teaching him about the mortal realm does he begin to see her worth outside of his goals. He finds her calm personality oddly comforting, but can hardly keep himself from stressing her out for the fun of it.
She started out absolutely opposed to him in every way, disliking his tyrant behavior and misleading exterior personality. She was powerless, confused, thrust into this situation due to this demon's own agenda, left to her own devices in an unfamiliar place, and was often ignored or toyed with. She was nothing but a tool to him, yet she still was expected to live with and keep in check this mess of a demon. Even after learning more about him, she still had her reservations and didn't think she'd ever have the chance to talk to him as an equal. Not that she could easily talk to him in any other way to begin with. Yet somehow, she felt sort of sad for him, knowing that he never had a childhood and would never be able to feel the wonder she felt when first learning about the supernatural. And in the end... he was the only one she knew wouldn't kill her, so she couldn't help wanting to become his friend in some way. They were both, in the end, lonely people.
