Jet was always prodigious when it came to technology. From a young age, he took an immediate interest in robotics, and flourished in the field--creating complicated machinery when he was just a teenager. After traumatically losing his best friend, he started to use his intelligence for dark deeds...but now he seeks to undo the damage he's done to the world through the only way he knows how. Through science.
Skateboard
It's a fucking skateboard. Jet moves around his lab with it--it's faster than walking, and he's not allowed to use nanobots anymore. He could do a trick if he felt like it, but not for you. He will also use it as an impromptu weapon if a certain annoying teenager hits his Final Straw.
Fierce Loyalty
Jettison is devoted to those who have earned his trust, to a point where he's been compared to a "mutt" multiple times. He is protective of people he loves, sometimes to a point of obsession--but he's finally healing from that. Still, he can be quick to anger and defensiveness if someone is bothering (or speaking ill of) someone he cares about.

Formerly known as the 12 year old scamp Tiny Hawk, Jettison "Jet" Hawk is a 30 year old recovering supervillain--and inevitable future version of his young counterpart. After a traumatic event ripped his best friend, Cha-Cha, from him, Jettison fell in a desperate madness--lashing out at the world and working for dark forces. He spent years reaching toward the impossible goal of recovering the lost fragments of his dead companion, commiting countless, irredeemable crimes to accomplish his goals. However, the plan unravelled with the fall of his boss, Professor Blackburn, and his dream was shattered.
Jet was captured and sentenced to life imprisonment. In a state of despair and hopelessness, Jet didn't object to his sentence. He would have fully lost what little remained of his former self, had it not been for the intervention of Alto Mercy--Jet's childhood friend and new head of the prominent, prestigious Mercy family. Alto used his money and goodwill to vouch for Jet, and worked out an accord with the justice department to take Jet under watch at Alto's home--where the former would serve house arrest.
Taken under Alto's protection, Jet begins the long process of piecing together the fragments of his life. With the agreement that his restrictions will be lightened following various forms of robotic community service, Jet sets out to not only undo the damage he helped to cause, but to finally emotionally recover, discover, and (accidentally) lean into fatherhood.
Personality
Trauma has drastically altered Jet's personality.
For over 15 years, he shut himself away emotionally, only letting anger show. The once kind-hearted and adventurous child that Tiny Hawk was became a reclusive introvert, and the abuse and manipulation he suffered kept him from moving forward.
Jet has not been in a "normal" state of mind in years, having repressed his emotions and personality as a survival mechanism while under Blackburn's thumb. It's been so long, that he's almost forgotten how to act like a normal human being.
But thanks to the intervention of the Mercy family, Jet has a chance to find himself again. While under house arrest, Jet has slowly begun the long path of emotional recovery. Underneath the rage and sadness, glints of Tiny Hawk remain in Jet's heart. The one-tracked mind, the impulsiveness, the blunt, no-nonense attitude that doesn't let you doomspiral over what could've been. But most importantly, in Jet Hawk, there is still a kind soul. It's covered in grime, crime, anger and regret, but it's still there, and it pops out when least expected.
Jet is exceedingly loyal to those he comes to trust. This trait was once abused and taken to an dangerous level of self-sacrifice, but with time, Jet has started to value himself more. He will do anything for people he cares for.
Jet expreses affection through actions. He may not say he is happy out loud, but in the little things he does, you will know. It's hard for him to talk about his feelings, so he ends up bottling them up until they explode in an embarassing way.
He's cringe and fail and guy.

Alto Mercy [ Boyfriend ]
Jet and Alto, formerly Tiny and Antoine, were childhood friends back when both lived in St. Nunnally's orphanage. The two were close until adoption separated them, and for almost ten years, the two lived separate lives. Fate brought them back together when Alto's father and Jet's boss became co-conspiritors, but the Tiny Alto had known had changed dramatically...
In Jet's eyes, Alto saved his life. Alto kept him grounded when the world fell apart around him, and he came back to him--despite most everyone in Jet's life leaving him, never to return. Even at his absolute worst, Alto stood by him--albeit distantly at times for his own sake. And when Alto could have left him behind, he saved him again, and gave Jet a sense of stability he'd never experienced before.
Jet is deeply loyal to Alto and also, he realized way too late, deeply in love with him--and had been for a long time. While he is completely out of his element and awkward at times, Jet is trying hard to overcome his horrendous emotional stuntedness to be a good partner to Alto. Considering all that Alto has done for him, he feels that it's the bare minimum that he could do, and wishes he could do more.
Andante Mercy [ Lab-Accident Child ]
Jet and Alto's child, born from an accidental meshing of scientific wizardy, DNA, and ranch dressing. While his creation was most definitely not intentional, Alto took an immediate attachment to the little blob, and thus the creation became their child. Jet would never have thrown away Dante, however, he was definitely not expect to also get attached to the blob.
While sometimes it can be hard for an outsider to tell, it is clear that Jet cares for his child. Whether it was keeping him out of danger as a little blob, or offering sound advice as a larger blob, Jet helped Alto to raise their child together. When Dante unknowingly rampaged through the city streets, Jet tried to take the blame so that Dante wouldn't be destroyed. When Dante left home to try to find himself, Jet gifted him a large hat to contain his hair--which would rise upwards like a lava lamp.
While he's not the warmest father, or the kindest, he will always be there for Dante if he's in trouble, and would risk his own freedom to keep him safe.
Coda Mercy [ Annoying Little Freak ]
Alto's adopted little brother, and the youngest of the Mercy family. Jet cannot escape him, and the 14 year torments him weekly. Being Alto's beloved baby brother, Jet can't do anything to hurt him, and Coda knows it--pranking him and messing with him whenever he can.
Even if he could lash out against Coda, he wouldn't--a show of immense personal growth for Jet, honestly. Despite torturing him, the two have a good relationship, with Coda being one of the only Mercy's besides Alto to actually LIKE Jet. Jet sees a bit of his old spark in Coda, and has taken a shine to him. He'd rather die than ever have that come out, though. God forbid Coda learns he cares about him, he'd eat nails.
Cha-Cha [ Lost Best Friend ]
Jet's first and dearest friend. When Jet was 10 years old, Cha-Cha came into his life to become the friend he never had. The two completed each other, and were inseperable--never doing anything alone. Cha-Cha was like a part of Jet's soul, and that only made it all the more traumatic when, on his 17th birthday, Jet watched helplessly as Cha-Cha was ripped away from him and destroyed.
This event changed the course of Jet's life forever, leading him down a dark path of grief and intense anger. Even now, years after the event and in a place of recovery, the loss is still hard for Jet to take. While he's learning to grieve and let go, Cha-Cha remains a roadblock in his recovery.
Jet misses him dearly, but does not talk about him. Cha-Cha is a touchy subject around him, and a wrong move could result in Jet getting agitated. While the dream of gettin Cha-Cha back is gone, it doesn't make reality hurt any less. Jet's birthdays are melancholy, remembering his "Tiny" years are difficult, and even now he still talks to his lost friend as he works.
