Personality

Alex can be described as an introvert. He is difficult to get to know: a bit private, reserved, self-conscious, and would rather not speak to anyone unless actually spoken to. He hates initiating conversations, but once he gets into the conversation, he'll become more open and outgoing. Despite this, Alex smiles and laughs very easily, and loves to joke around with his friends. He lacks self-confidence, and hates being in the spotlight. Like a lot of teens, Alex is incredibly lazy, and a chronic procrastinator. He's rather easily spooked, which doesn't help when he works in a magic shop surrounded by strange entities.

Abilities

- Alex is from the race of Avians, which are basically flying humanoids with both the characteristics of humans and birds. Because of this, he has six limbs; his extra two limbs are the large 15-foot long wings that extend from his back. He has hollow bones like all birds which makes his body lighter, enabling his wings to actually pick his up. This also makes him lighter, faster and more agile than humans. He has air sacs besides his regular human lungs which allows him to easily adapt to high and low altitudes, as well as enhance his lung capacity. His whole body will adapt to this change as well, just like birds. His flying speed is around 40-50 mph, but could go faster.

- As a barn owl Avian, he is capable of completely silent flight, His vision is incredible, able to track movement from a very far distance and zero in on a target. His hearing is also top-notch and incredibly sensitive (one of the best of all avians), also able to use enhanced sound elevation, so he can determine which height the sounds are at. He is able to rotate his neck almost 360 degrees with the help of rerouting blood vessels. With his talons, he is powerful enough to crush a skull. Possibly. He can locate people by sound. He also has night vision. As an owl does.

- Alex is actually kinda proficient with magic. It’s slow-going, but he’s got this big book of magic spells that really comes in handy, which he got from the magic shop he works at. Right now, he’s capable of simpler spells pretty easily, such as summoning a small fire for light, or storing items in a pocket dimension, which has really come in handy.

Trivia

- Alex works parttime in a magic shop run by a very mysterious being populated by even more mysterious beings. He gets into magical shenanigans very very often with his friend and co-worker Troy.

- Creepy humanoids or dead humans are the absolute worse dkfjdkfsjdf.

In love with noodles.

- Gets picked on by his friends because his wings have a habit of hitting people when he's sleeping, like that one time he shared a tent with another friend when they were camping.

Relationships

Hiroshi [ boss ]

Hiroshi is Alex's employer at the magic shop. Alex thinks Hiroshi's pretty cool, even if he's kind of mean sometimes, but he's also a little wary because Hiroshi is cloaked in mysteries. I mean, tremendous abilities and an interdimensional shop and there's basically nothing known about him? It's kinda creepy. But also kinda cool, to know such an entity is on his side.

"Jeremy" [ co-worker ]

Jeremy freaked Alex out at first. A shadowy humanoid entity capable of body horror? It was like Alex's worst nightmare. Nowadays Alex has been getting used to him more, and it's actually thanks to Alex and Troy that Jeremy actually has a name now. He's fond of them, in a kind of strange, spooky way, and likes to tease them a lot.
