Ametiste is a short, slightly curvy boy with wavy and short black hair, red eyelashes that seem almost natural, and deathly pale skin. He likes wearing long dresses (all of which are at least slightly tattered) and dusty colors that don't show off much more skin than his face.

A playful, if occasionally mischievous to the point of mean-spiritedness, boy in a dusty pink dress has been seen roaming the busy streets of Port Halfair, though for some reason no one has been able to catch up to him to reprimand, play along, or even ask his name... Because of this, he's become one of the well-known urban legends - most of the locals know who he is (at least they know the of him, a rare select few actually know who he is), and they know that he is dead.
