The smartest of her generation, a hardworking and responsible student. Self (and family) imposed goals often pressure her-- specially by being the eldest and first school-educated family member. Her mom has high expectations on her, often leavin no time to chill and enjoy her social life before she graduates and starts working.
'Coach' later on is introduced to her life as her stepfather- who has quite a hard time approving.

Marsae both hates and admires Aspen's ability to not give a crap about social responsibilities; After a few discussions, they eventually agree to help each other  to overcome their respective flaws.
