Spearshard is a reserved and almost stoic character - he rarely reveals his true feels, preferring to keep a neutral face. This is fitting considering his powers; he is able to stay cool in even the most heated situations.
He is often seen with Stormbringer. The two are good friends, and Spearshard acts as Stormbringer's closest confidant.

Spearshard, alongside his fellow Primordials, is the subject of many varying myths in Nippon. One detail they can all agree on however is that he was there at the creation of Nippon, helping to build the island with the other gods. After they had finished and had ensured that their creation was doing well, the Primordials created the Clock of Order to maintain balance in their absence. The gods then ascended to Takamagahara.
What has been recorded from this point on is unclear, but some books say that the Primordials fought in a great battle which exhausted their energies.
Spearshard is first seen in the prologue of Heroes of Ashihara Village, where he appears with the other Primordials to give Tengan the Heroes' Prophecy.
When the group of mortals goes to the archives to meet with Astraea, Spearshard and the other Primordials appear as illustrations in Astraea's history book.
Spearshard is once again seen at the beginning of chapter three, where he and the other gods are looking down into the pool that lets them view the mortal world. He compliments Cosmind on his choice of successor.
- Alongside the other seven Primordials, Spearshard had a hand in creating Nippon and ensuring its safety. He created the Clock of Order to maintain decorum whilst he ascended to Takamagahara (heaven).
- Years later, when he sees the Clock begin to fail, Spearshard helps deliver a prophecy to Tengan and Kotoshiro in separate dreams, guiding them on how to put it right and save Nippon.
