- Crows-call is emotionally distant, angry and incredibly aggressive. It doesn’t take her much to snap and when she does, it's usually in a big way. She has no empathy for those she hurts and often justifies her violence.
- She's good at being manipulative to young cats, finding their weaknesses and playing into them for her own gain. Crows-call may start out caring about a cat, but in the end she will drop them the moment they stop being useful to her... even if that causes a bit of pain for herself.
- Speaks very highly of herself and often likes to taunt her enemies in battle to get under their skin/find their weaknesses. She believes only the strong should survive and everyone below deserves to suffer.
- She was the main villan of Underlying Shadows Arc 1!! Eveything is in past tense as she's dead now lol.
- Name meaning; Crows-call - Her name is similar to a clan name due to her family’s weird naming system. You’d get named after a creature and once you prove yourself as a worthy hunter, you get named after a noise the animal makes.
- Birthday/Creation date; December 29th (2019)
Crows-call’s family consisted of her, two dads and two brothers. Her brother called Wolves-Howl would mock and bully Crows constantly, causing her to snap and kill him, She was then banished from her family. Growing into an adult she figured family was probably the only way she’d be ‘happy’ again and sort out to find a mate. Despite her dislike of males, she had kits with some guy named Timber. She chased him away once they were born as she was only using him to get what she wanted.
She found motherhood hard and as leaf-bare came, it turned out to be one of the worst they’d had. Due to having no home, Crows-call brung her kits to Caveclan and begged them to help. Unfortunately for her, Blizzardstar attacked the mother and her kits to banish them out. That night when a blizzard hit, she hid under a tree as her kits froze to death in her arms.
Crows-call was never really the same after that and later was found by Owls-screech, happy to see her brother as the two bonded once more! Unfortunately again, Owls-screech was brutally killed by Canarystar’s followers following them crossing into Brookclan territory.
From that day on, Crows-call swore to destroy all clan life and got together an army of angry rogues to help. She had also gotten the help of Starlingsky, the Caveclan deputy at the time. Their plan was to kill Sparrowstar and for him to take over the clan...But Starlingsky failed to take his nine lives and was banished.
One night she found a lost Brookclan kit called Skunkkit, eventually going on to manipulate him into giving info about his clan most of his apprentice-hood. She felt betrayed when he left her to be with his clan as she’d grown close to him. Straw was another young kit she’d become like an mother too, The two were close until Straw was accidentally stolen by Brookclan. When the time came for Straw to return to Crow, Straw chose to stay in Brookclan which prompted Crows-call to disown and threaten her.
After that Crows-call set her focus on her plans and led the rogues into many brutal battles. After seeing Starlingsky save Sparrowstar from a falling rock and getting chased back to their old territory, she put harsh and unfair restrictions on where cats could go and what they could eat. This crushed many cats' spirits and caused most to turn on Crows-call. This included Aika; a cat Crows-call genuinely enjoyed spending time with. Despite that, Crows-call executed Aika due to her serving no purpose to her anymore. This was the first death Crows-call felt guilt over.
When things started to look up for the rogues, word got around that a group of them were planning to rebel against Crows-call. She wasn’t going to let that happen and found the leader of them; Starlingsky. At first she was going to execute his son which prompted Starling to attack and fight Crows-call while her ally’s stood and watched. After a great fight and despite how many odds were against him, Starlingsky landed the killing blow on Crows-call and she bleed to death after.
Crows-call is doomed to wander the Outerlands forever, alone. Usually cats who are left to wander the Outerlands alone lose their sense of identity + true self, causing their body to vanish and rot away...but not Crows-call. The she-cat had already lost so much of herself in her dark descent that there's not really much left to lose. Crows-call has to suffer the consequences of her actions for who knows how long, not that it would make her sorry or regret any of it. Sometimes her fresh death wound causes the attractions of Crows that follow the she-cat around until they too, rot and die.
Upon finding the young kit lost from camp, Crows-call made the quick choice to manipulate him for moons on end in order to get information and knowledge of the clan from him. Over this time...she grew to love him almost as a son and felt betrayed when he chose his clan over her.
Probably the last reminder of what love felt like to Crows-call. She’d taken Strawberry in after her parents died and wanted to raise her to follow in her pawsteps. Obviously that never worked out as Straw befriended and joined the clans...leaving Crows-call with nothing but hatred towards her. She wanted nothing more than to hurt Straw like she had done to herself, but in the end couldn't bring herself to lay a claw on the kit that once called her mom.
Crows-call despises Starling more than anything. Maybe in the beginning she saw potential in his hatred for Sparrowstar- but the disappointment came quickly when he couldn’t finish their plan. From that point on Crows-call lost seeing him as equal and nothing more than disappointing. Trusting him was a huge mistake and letting him live for so long is something she wishes she could take back.
Maybe Crows-call had feelings for the she-cat at one point, which made killing her even harder and what ultimately tipped Crows-call over the edge of no return. Crows-call wished things didn't have to turn out how they did and perhaps there could've been a future for them together, if Crows-call had opened her heart a little more and not been on a hellbent rampage.
