full name is bentley roscoe rebeck. spunky's younger brother

he was dragged along by spunky when they fled nevistro, and has been following them since.

though he was originally thought to have been born with no magic, he's discovered that the spirit of his draconic ancestor is bound to him. his ancestor is able to communicate to him in his mind, and also in his dreams, and it attempts to guide him, but its instructions are often vague or confusing. it also has the ability to lend roscoe its power for periods of time, turning roscoe half-dragon and giving him overwhelming strength & power but sapping his energy rapidly, partially due to his lack of control over it. his ancestor has been teaching him how to properly handle it, but with spunky & roscoe on the run it has very little time to instruct him.

roscoe has always been second to his sibling, and is easily forgettable as a result. he's very timid, often letting his sibling take the lead and following quietly behind them. even with his ancestor, he still only feels like a tool for it to try to repair the fractured rebeck crown.
